How do you use the wadding. No instructions at all on tin.

Hi, Eleanor.It's easy. Just use the wadding as if it were cotton wool. Tear off a piece, not too big, about the size of 10p. Take the wadding and rub it straight onto the object to be polished in a circular fashion. Now don't try and polish it using the wadding it's not designed to do that. The idea is to get the object saturated with the impregnated solution. Then after a couple of minutes buff it off with a dry cloth. It's a lot less messy than using the Brasso liquid polish.

Will this work on the front door window of my house?

This is not a product for windows/glass. This is for copper and brass.

Is brasso wadding abrasive?

Very mildly, nothing like autosol or T-cut. I use it on chrome or stainless steel with no problems.

Do you think this would work on soft plastic or would it be too abrasive?

No, don't do this.To clean soft plastic I would use 50/50 of white vinegar & water rinse after 15 minstrel or clean with a damp cloth.For heavily stained spots try toothpaste, allow it to dampen for 15 mins then clean.
