Resident Evil 4 - PS5

Resident Evil 4 on PS5 is everything I wanted and more. The game looks incredible, runs super smoothly, and the overall experience feels modern while still keeping the heart of what made RE4 iconic. The atmosphere is tense, the combat is satisfying, and the pacing is so good that it’s hard to put down. On PS5, the visuals and lighting are gorgeous, and the controls feel tight and responsive—especially during the more hectic fights. The remake balances horror and action perfectly, and the upgrades/weapon management keep the gameplay addicting. The sound design is also excellent (headphones make it even more intense). The story and characters are still great, but everything feels more immersive and refined. Whether you’re new to the series or you played the original, this is a top-tier Resident Evil title. If you’re on the fence: get it. One of the best games on PS5.

Not a gamer had over a decade without playing this game, I tried it and it worth for the price, great for a distraction and good quality videos

Excelente Juego

Bought it as a gift for my dad and he loves it! It’s very high quality and the combats and scenes are so good that he kinda got scared a couple of times. Talking about a grown man who has been playing video-games on every console ever since late 80s. I would say that was a nice experience!

As a fan of the original GameCube classic, this ground-up overhaul by Capcom is a masterclass in remakes—modernizing every aspect while preserving the revolutionary over-the-shoulder action-horror DNA that defined it.

Great games

It really is a fantastic rebuild of one of my top three games of all time. It gets pretty much everything it does right, but there are some fairly major sections of the original game that don't exist in this version. A couple that were favorites of mine to play through. Parts I would look forward to while replaying. Still, it's especially recommended to new players for the fantastic gameplay, with the further recommendation that they play some version of the original, which still holds up fantastically.

One of the best resident evil

Ich habe damals Resident Evil 4 bei Veröffentlichung auf dem Gamecube einige Male durchgespielt und für mich war es immer der beste Resident Evil – Teil (sicherlich eine Einzelmeinung). Das Spiel lebt mehr vom nervlichen Terror als vom Horror der Vorgänger. Als ich das Remake auf der Suche nach neuen Stoff für die PS5 entdeckt habe, war ich zuerst skeptisch, da das Spiel damals einige Elemente hatte, die nicht gut gealtert sein konnten (Quicktime-Events etc.). Nachdem ich das Remake jetzt selbst 2 Mal auf normal und einmal auf hart durchhabe, muss ich gestehen, es fühlt sich immer noch wie Resident Evil 4 an, obwohl doch einige Events und Handlungen zum Original geändert wurden. Sowohl die Story als auch die Spielweise wurde leicht abgeändert, es kamen einige neue Gimmicks dazu und es ist immer noch RE4. Die Grafik ist sehr gut, der Sound immer noch atmosphärisch und Leon als Hauptcharakter ist immer noch eine coole Socke. Es gibt ein paar neue Waffen (Armbrust etc.), die auch aufgelevelt werden können. Ashley begleitet euch ebenfalls wieder als Charakter, ist aber bei weitem nicht so nervig wie im Original. Und Gott was bin ich froh, dass die Quicktime-Events im Vergleich zum Original stark reduziert wurden (z.B. beim Messerkampf mit Krauser) bzw. nicht immer gleich tödlich enden. Die Spielzeit für einen Durchgang beträgt je nach Spielweise zwischen 10 – 20 Stunden. Das hängt aber stark davon ab, auf welchem der 5 Schwierigkeitsgrade ihr spielt. Den Multiplayerpart habe ich nicht getestet. Alles in allem ein klasse Spiel, auch wenn ich die Trophäe für den Speedrun auf dem harten Schwierigkeitsgrad nie hinbekommen werde.
