I purchased this having been MRI diagnosed with a torn meniscus. The surgeon said that surgery was not always reliable, and suggested physiotherapy. But I clearly needed some support/relief as the knee was constantly giving way and making loud clunking sounds, and was extremely sore and tender to touch. I opted to exercise it myself, and I found that the tube type knee support I had did not help. In many ways it made it worse by almost pushing the kneecap. I bought this because of good reviews. I can genuinely say it has been superb! Worn just below the knee it has managed to eliminate the movement, and I think given time for the knee to settle down. Being very thin it also is way more comfortable to wear under trousers,, and the knee/leg does not get hot and uncomfortable. Very happy with my purchase, and I intend to let my surgeon know also about it, by way of recommendation. After sales support has been really good also with tips and follow-up. My knee has settled down really well, and I will keep the knee support for any sign of significant re-occurrence, and for excercise

I have found a lot of knee supports to be very uncomfortable because they don't seem to cater for larger legs, so this avoids that problem. Despite looking a bit odd, it works surprisingly well and is comfortable to wear as long as I manage to adjust the straps so the corners of the velcro don't dig in as they are a bit sharp. I keep meaning to take a pair of scissors to them to round them off, but only ever remember when I'm out and they start to dig in.

Ok item , but not quite the support I thought it would be

I've suffered pain in one of my knees for years when I used to do lots of sports, and despite doing lots of physiotherapy and strengthening exercises, it never truly went. I started running 4 months ago and my patella pain reared its ugly head again, to the point it was very painful going up and down stairs. I bought this product and it is truly incredible! It fits perfectly and when I initially had it on, it felt like it wouldn't support anything, let alone a knee - but I was absolutely wrong. My knee pain has completely ceased now, so I can run further, faster and most of all, pain free!

Excellent product. Well made, and small enough to wear under jeans with no discomfort. The pressure under the kneecap has relieved my patellar tendonitis symptoms during exercise. The strap has by no means solved my knee issues but it has enabled me to manage my discomfort. Found no problem wearing it when both cycling and running. Highly recommend, five stars

Do these really work?The main problem for me was (once again), you have to be at least of average 'thickness' to get it tight. I'm a slim 5'11 male and this never really felt tight enough to stay in place under actual exercise.My real advice comes to you from a period of forced absence from exercise because of another illness, only then did my problems heal up and now my knee is fine. Seriously, I know this is VERY hard to do but STOP doing your activity, just walk as exercise, knock food levels down to maintain weight. Imagine if you cut your hand on the palm...it's never going to heal if you keep using it and tearing it open every day. Same thing. Don't fall into the physio exercises whilst injured trap, or if you must don't over do the intensity. HEAL. Then physio.

I can’t comment personally, hence 4 and that’s the only reason for the 4 .I was asked me to find this on line for a family member who has a knee discomfort , they are very happy with it, and it certainly offers good tendon support which they require and feels more comfortable getting about with it on.

This is the second support brace I have tried. The first one was more expensive but a different style (the ones with the hole where your kneecap goes) and was a total washout so I sent it back. I ordered this one as a last ditch and I'm pleased I did. You can adjust it as much as you want for comfort and it's very supportive. I've noticed a massive difference when I'm going up and down the stairs. Worth every penny. Don't think that because it's cheap it's no good. You'd be wrong 😊

I tried other ones after losing a pair that didn't work at all. But these stay snug and do the job. I do recommend washing (but not machine drying) when you first get them.

I do a lot of squats/lunges and jumping during my workouts and started having knee pain. I purchased this band to provide knee support while exercising, and noticed my pain was significantly improved within a couple of days. It stays put for the most part, but I do readjust it a few times during my hour workout. Now I just wear it sparingly if I start having pain again.
