Well priced and good paper

A quality product that’s delivers for Art.

As the title suggests this is made from appropriate material for a sketch book, I've been an art student for 4 years on going and people generally get mixed up between sketch books and artist pads. A sketch book is made from lighter paper as it is primarily used in correspondence with sketching mediums such as graphite, charcoal and pastels (Almost all sketching media is dry which means you won't need heavy paper). Artist pads vary but are generally made with heavier paper.I have only given 4 stars as people have been saying that you can paint on this paper but I personally believe you should invest some more money into buying a book with thicker paper to hold the paint, as this paper is very thin. If you're using markers, I would only suggest you use fineliner detail pens (like in the sketch I provided) and hold back on very heavy shading. These pens did not bleed through the paper but they were on the verge of it. In conclusion it is ideal for sketch pieces but invest in a watercolour artist pad (usually around 180-200gsm to hold all that water) if you want to have good paper to hold your paint and prevent/reduce buckling and wrinkling and to stop markers bleeding through to the other pages.

Having used many sketch pads and books throughout my life, I have found that the quality of these books are wonderful. The texture feels grainy to the touch when you run your finger over the pages but it does not hamper your pens or pencils when drawn upon. When using thin liners, there is no bleed and the finished result of your art is crisp and clear. The value of these books is well worth it if you care for your art.I wholeheartedly recommend these.

These sketchbooks are amazing. They're easy to draw on, the size is perfect and now I don't feel like I'm workong in a cramped space and the pages don't smudge unlike other papers. They seem pleasnatly suited to the Castle Art art kit that I previously ordered around Christmas. I've only had this product for two days and I've already started filling out the pages. It's very satisfying and just like other Castle Art products it's faultless.

This excellent twin pack of drawing pads is exceptional value and quality, with 100 pages in each. The seller has great customer service, emailing me when the order was placed and again when it arrived to check all was well and offering any help I should need afterwards which was very kind. yes I would buy again and yes I would recommend the seller.

I bought this pack as it had 2 sketch books in, one for myself and one for my teenage son. They are a good size to carry on days out and solid enough to work on without paper moving. They have perforated edge so that the sketches can be easy removed to add to my sons school portfolio.recieved in good condition in good time
