Q: I want to clamp this to a tube. What is the maximum tube diameter the bottom clamp will attach to?

The max the jaws will open to is 50mm. However when fully open like this the tip of the jaws won't wrap far enough round a tube to attach firmly. I don't rely on the clamp alone if the tube I'm fitting it to is bigger than 40mm diameter. Hope this helps?

Q: Would this fit well on an Elgato keylight?

from what I can see on the net, the KeyLight pole secures to the base with a 1/4" screw - exactly the same as the SmallRig Mount you should therefore be able to replace the base with the SmallRig and have a lot more mounting options for the KeyLight - the SmallRig is certainly strong and secure enough to hold the KeyLight in place even if it is mounted at an acute angle

I am not sure what you are thinking when you say "attach to a pole" but I have this item and Small Rig is great stuff at a good price, this is however very lightweight for what you may be wanting to do, if your DSLR is very small and light then maybe but anything heavier I think may come to grief, bit of wind or a screw not tight enough, I would suggest for landscapes a proper tripod, I use these clamps to hold small torches or small items, for a DSLR I would look at Manfrotto clamps if it has to go on a specific pole, hope that helps
