KitchenCraft Medium Stainless Steel Milk Jug / Frothing Jug, 600 ml (1 pt), Silver

Purchased for use with our new coffee machine to heat/froth milk. Smart looking and easy to clean. Chose a plain jug without a thermostat as a lot of reviews claimed the thermostats either failed or peeled off. It’s easy enough to gauge the temperature of the milk just by touching the sides of the jug anyway. Size is perfect if you’re making a couple of cappuccinos even allowing for the milk to double in volume. Pleased with my purchase.

When searching for a stainless steel jug to use with a new espresso machine you don't want something flimsy, anything that marks too easily and certainly something that wont heat itself or become too hot to handle.This jug does exactly what it's meant to do. It is perfect for what I bought it for (to steam milk) and can be helpful in the kitchen in general.Bottom line - good quality, cheap price.

An excellent product which is suitable for a range of uses - I use mine as part of my candle making equipment for melting and pouring wax into moulds. Holds enough for and average size pillar candle (including 2nd pours) in one melt, so allows the 2nd pour to fill in the sink hole to be mixed all at once, ensuring a perfect colour and scent match between both the first and second pours. Small and compact for storage.The only downside to this product is the metal handle which can get very hot - similar products often have a plastic coating on the handle to prevent burning yourself. This is easily overcome by holding the handle wrapped in a tea towel or similar.

It is a metal jug for holding milk. In this respect it does exactly what it sets out to do. I use it for frothing milk with an espresso machine, and it's well-suited to this purpose. The only downside is the sharpness of the edges on the handle. There's no rounding whatsoever, it's just a hard, metal edge and if you're standing for a couple of minutes, frothing milk, it has a tendency to dig into your fingers. I'm planning to solve this problem with a little Sugru and that should make everything perfect. In general, it's a jug, if you need a jug to hold around 350ml of liquid this will do the job.

Good value

I read other reviews about this item falling apart and was almost put off by this. I'm glad I bought it, though. I use this jug a lot in order to froth milk for lattes, and it does get some hammer because I always give it a good slam on the worktop immediately after frothing, to disperse any larger bubbles. I've been using it 3-4 times per week for around 6 months now and it's holding up perfectly.

Its a nice jug but when close to full its a pain to pour without it dribbling all over the counter, the spout could do with a bit more of a point, but unless your filling it you shouldn't notice any dribbling.

It's a jug, it pours well and is good value as not flimsy stainless. We use it to heat milk with the steam from our coffee machine and it is fine. The thermometer that comes with it works ok, but seems show about 3-5 degrees below the actual water temperature (tested in boiling water and boiling salt water). However, it does the job and at the price you cannot expect perfection.
