Great monitor at a great price
Been using this monitor for ages and it's being going very strong. It has a nice base (which i don't use anymore because it's mounted on an arm). Very easy and simple to use

Good, but could be better, and broke on fourth day
Good, but could be better.I've been using it for 4 days now and that's my observations:Pros:1. The display itself is fine. I bought it as extra monitor for my 17" fhd laptop. However, I preferred to look at it so much, that after an hour made it my primary monitor.2. Looks nice enough. Though not as good as advertised.3. Does the job well4. Has 2 HDMI, VGA and comes with HDMI, VGA and audio cables. So no hassle to search for any cables after you buy monitor.Coins:1. The edges aren't so small as you would expect. Yes, the corners are really small, but there is about 1cm black area in the top, right and left. This area connects directly with the display itself. So, in reality you have the same edges as with any other monitor and it just looks more sexy as it goes to display area very smoothly. But I expected it to be only with frame edge of 2mm, not extra 1 cm to that.2. Has some light defects on the plastic itself (see pictures).3. The matte panel film has some small bubbles under it on the edges which are not used for display (see pictures)4. The changing of lightness is troublesome. Because it has speakers the default option for arrows is to control volume instead adjusting brightness. There is a software in CD, which allows to change modes or brightness with a mouse click. But it's too slow. Usually, you are browsing and want to have little light as white colour is dominating. Now if you watch a movie or play a game you want to increase brightness. And there is no quick way to do.5. The model itself is old. It has sticker windows 8 compatible, the light is green/orange, which is "old school".6. The speed of monitor turning on could be better. My laptop and my office Asus monitors turn on quicker after display has been turned off.7. The display is not very stable. I'm typing it on keyboard and I see how the monitor is moving. My laptop screen doesn't even notice while I'm typing on an external keyboard8. You can feel some flickering, not more than on any other monitor at the similar price..I was considering buying ViewSonic VX2263SMHL-W which has blue light filter and flicker free, however, didn't like that white plastic and decided to go emotional instead of rational, i.e., beauty instead of specs. Now I would go for VX2263SMHL-W.Anyway, monitor is good enough and I'm keeping it.UPDATE: on the third day of use it was giving me a headache, but I thought it's not a monitor, but that I've completed half marathon and my head just hurts. When I noticed weird flickering for some time, but after a bit of time it disappeared, thought maybe I'm imagining things.~ The same repeated on the fourth day. Tried testing by using my laptop monitor. It was hard to tell, but it felt like it was slightly reducing headache.Anyway, on the fifth day it started flickering insanely and having vertical lines. Tried reconnecting, using different HDMI port, turning off and on, restarting laptop. It partially helped, the most vertical lines were gone and flickering was reduced. Anyway, not really usable. After return from work that day, turned it on one last time before packing and it was working again fine. Returned it as defective.

UK power adaptor When I built my rig I really didn't have much money left over for a super high end enthusiast grade gaming moni
In the box: HDMI cable, UK power adaptorWhen I built my rig I really didn't have much money left over for a super high end enthusiast grade gaming monitor, but I still wanted something that would offer a good value proposition (after all, £100 is still £100 and who wants to waste money on stuff that's bad?). This monitor fit the bill perfectly, and it hasn't disappointed. To be sure, its not the absolute ideal gaming monitor, given its 60hz refresh rate, but its hardly a bad starting point. The refresh rate is as low as is necessary for all but the most hardcore of gamers, and the refresh rate really isn't a vast hindrance in most games. The monitor looks and feels a lot more premium than its price point would seem to justify, and I don't have any bad words about the panel either. Colour reproduction is solid and there's no sort of washed out look that cheaper LCDs might have, with blacks that look nice and deep. There's also not really anything in the way of backlight bleed and the backlighting is generally even across the whole panel (if a tiny bit brighter at the sides). After 6 months of using it, all the pixels are still in working order too, and I've experienced no sort of dead pixel issues others have experienced.Connectivity is also a definite plus point for this monitor, with two HDMI inputs, a 3.5mm audio jack for headphone output, and a DVI port ro9unding out the connectivity options. For a relatively cheap monitor, the connectivity on offer is pretty solid. The only real downside of this monitor is the internal speaker. There is one. Its awful. You shouldn't use it. Sound is muffled and tinny, with the maximum volume still sounding incredibly quiet. The good news is that the 3.5mm audio out makes it easy to connect external speakers (assuming you don't already have speakers connected to your PC), which will give you much better audio quality, so this really isn't going to be too much of an issue for anyone. In any event, this monitor gets it right in all of the important respects. The panel is good, the monitor as a whole has a more premium feel to it than its price would suggest and it has all the connectivity almost anyone could possibly need. Sure, the super hardcore gamer should probably look elsewhere, but for most people this is a very solid choice of monitor, whether its as your main monitor or as a secondary one. I would highly recommend it!
