Jumbo Puzzle Mates Puzzle & Roll Jigroll for Puzzles up to 1500 Pieces, Multi, 17690

Second one of these I have bought. The elastic ties hold the jigsaw in progress very well without slippage or spillage. The baize does tend to rough up with long term use (over 80 puzzles), hence this second purchase.

The positives with this product are that the tubes are easy to assemble, that it's easy to roll the mat up with a partially completed puzzle, and that the pieces will not easily slip/slide from the mat. It's also available at a very low price.However, these positives are outweighed by the negatives. The overall quality is cheap and cheerful and looks as though it's been created on a shoestring budget. Before I purchased this product I read through the reviews and so I was aware of criticisms in advance. Unfortunately all of the criticisms are well founded. The mat arrived bundled up so tightly that it was very creased - as I was aware that it might well be based on the reviews. I hoped that putting a damp cloth over the felt and ironing the mat might help to flatten it. I started at the lowest heat option on my iron and then gradually increased it but to no avail. The creases were still present.Another small complaint is that the mat helpfully has the sizing of various puzzles set out (1,000 piece, 1,500 piece etc.). However, they manufacturers couldn't even get that right as the 1,000-piece puzzles that I've done were all slightly too large to the point where I might as well have just turned the mat over and used the blank side.My final complaint is that the fastening straps are very difficult to put on when the mat is rolled up with a puzzle around the tubes. I wasn't actually strong enough to stretch them far enough so I've settled for not using them. My recommendation to the manufacturer would be to either make them bigger or to make them adjustable.I'm only an amateur puzzle enthusiast and so I will likely stick with this mat for a while. However, if you're looking for a good quality product, my recommendation is that you invest a little more money and buy something else such as a puzzle case where you potentially won't encounter any of the inherent problems that come with a mat.

Holds jigsaw pieces in place while doing the jigsaw so they don’t slide about the tableA friend recommended this purchase but I was still dubious about the rolling aspect. How wrong was I,it rolled up easily and unrolled with the jigsaw still in tact. Delighted with my purchase, only wish I’d bought it years ago!

I think it should be more sterdy

There are a lot of conflicting reviews for this product but we went ahead and bought it. very glad we did.yes it is a simple concept it's a big piece of green felt with some white lines indicating 500, 1000, and 1500 piece jigsaw sizes, it has a sturdy card tube in 3 sections and it comes with a couple of fastening straps.yes I probably could have gone to my "local" craft/fabric shop and bought items suitable to make my own, but as a crafter I know it would have taken the best part of a day to get ready and go out to my not so local craft /fabric store and cost just as much to get to the craft store by bus as I don't have a car, buy the felt a card tube big enough and some sort of strapping. I only paid £7.99 with free P+P and next day delivery for this item, and I didn't have to do all that messing about trying to make my own. it meant that rather than taking a day out of our family life I could click, kick back and play some lego with my boys and then get straight on with the jigsaw the next day with my girl.I would recommend this product as it does the job and is hassle free.my daughter and I are very pleased with it, she has a large panoramic LotR jigsaw on the go at the moment which goes a little bit beyond the length of the 1500 piece size but it still does the job. this bit of felt with a tube means she can use the dinning table in good light and just quickly put it out of the way for lunch and tea.

I chose this roll-up jigsaw mat because it had a sturdy cardboard roller which I thought would hold the pieces in place better than and inflatatble one as used in similar products. There is a problem with the instructions in that it tell you on the back of the box to assemble the tube, it doesn't tell you how. It was not difficult to figure out how to do it, just slide the short green outer tube over the brown inner tube and centre it, then put the open ends of the other tubes over the protruding ends of the inner tube. I would have liked the inner tube to be a bit longer for more stability. Some reviewers mentioned a problem with the mat wrinkling because of the way it is folded in the box. Again no instructions but, I ironed mine with a steam iron set to "wool" to take out all the creases caused by folding to get it into the box. It works perfectly now. I'm happy with my purchase.

The card tube comes in three sections that are a little loose in fit. This was fixed by some tape. Great space saving solution if you don't have the room to leave these items out.

Good to start my puzzle. Easy to transport.
