I had ground coffee left sitting in my cupboard after my cafetière broke. I bought a replacement from a supermarket, but it was useless and I got fed up having to use a tea strainer to decant the coffee from it.So I was a bit sceptical of this little mug, but thought I’d give it a go. I’m glad that I did. It’s such a useful thing and so effective. As long as you’re careful not to let the grounds attach to the sides as you drop it into the mug, the plunger attachment will keep it all at the bottom and leave you with a smooth cup of coffee.

Been using this mug for more than 10yrs. So handy to make quick filter coffee in the morning. The mesh is the weak point where it usually fails eventually. The newer versions seems to let more coffee granules leak through but not too much of a problem. Does keep the drinks hotter for longer.

This is a really clever coffee cup to use on the go. I agree with the other reviews though and you do get a little bit of coffee grains coming through into your coffee that you reach at the end. The trick I think though is to push the filter down really slowly and that helps to get less through. I’ve used it a few times now and love it!

Perfect way to make coffee on the go. Safer than glass and keeps drink hot.

Used these cups for countless years as love a proper coffee at work etc, only down side is the plastic on the plungers always come apart so need to buy a whole new cup instead of just the plunger but infairness they are good quality just wish the plungers would last longer......

I've had this for a few years now and it is great. It keeps coffee warm for a good hour or so. The plunger works well as long as you don't overfill it. I wouldn't want to transport it around full too much as it doesn't seal. I fill it with decaff coffee before going to work then add the water there.

Technically a great design and when it works, this is fantastic. It feels sturdy enough, the handle is nice to hold and it is just the right size for a decent mug of coffee made from ground coffee.It looks and is very easy to keep clean and dry. It does keep the temperature well too.As others have mentioned there is that elephant in the room of how well it keeps separation of the granules from the coffee you end up drinking....and it's a mixed bag.It can be done, you can pretty much have success when plunging the filter down to have zero granules but there doesn't seem to be much method to it. I've made a few coffees using this cup now and it seems that sometimes those pesky granules just sneak through.I've tried slightly different pressures and angles when pressing the plunger down. I normally end up withdrawing it to the top to check on the situation of the granule collection before resuming.If i see granules I pull it out, give it a rinse and try again and I am usually lucky.Perhaps as other say you have to be super slow when first plunging.I think there really should have been an additional seal/gasket on the plunger mechanism. After all they put a thicker three ringed gasket on the lid, yet only one very soft gasket on the actual plunger where it matters just as much.So, close to being amazing but for that issue. Perhaps with practice it will get better and I will review accordingly up to the 5 stars. For now, just the 4 due to that.When you get it right though...WOW amazing cup of coffee to be had and I will be using this A LOT!

For those days I just want a fast cup of coffee but I don’t want to pull up the bigger french press this is fantastic. I had bought it in the past but brought it to my second home and forgot about it since I haven’t been there for awhile. Is great for camping too, boil water fast with a pot with heat exchanger, make the coffee and save the rest of the hot water in a thermo for another cup or to wash dishes. It washes easily at camp where water is not readily available in dry camping and keeps the coffee hot in those cold mornings in the mountains, the lid keeps bugs at bay just push the plunge very slowly and you won’t have grinds in the coffee you’re drinking, arrived faster than specified. I can’t say any negative things about it. Personally at home I wouldn’t put it in the dishwasher or microwave, it might ruin it and is so easy to wash. For those of us that like to add cream you can add it after you use the press since is not attached to the lid. Price has gone up since I bought the first one but what hasn’t and I think is still worth it.

J’en ai pris une pour le boulot.Très bien. Les amateurs de café piston savent bien qu’il faut d’abord laisser infuser qlq minutes, puis appuyer sans forcer pour le filtrer.Il garde très bien la chaleur aussi.Bref je suis très satisfait du produit.
