Nice little camera.
My first action camera and this seems a good little camera for a very reasonable price! It’s light, feels well built and I am looking forward to playing around with it. I bought it for paddle boarding and will also be using it for snorkelling. 1 improvement that immediately strikes me would be the remote being waterproof as would use that under water? I guess for now the way forward is a waterproof phone carrier. Looking forward to getting familiar with this and enjoying it. Would also love to see a body harness with it?

Quality function & price were essentially the reason for purchase
This is an excellent productYour provided with a comprehensive amount of connection adapters & sticky pads a quick guide / micro memory card / waterproof caseCamera with built in screen & functions / a watch strap button function for quick photos & videos without touching camera (has to be set in relevant mode) the lense is wide angle & although so far not tested (just unpacking) anticipate good quality as camera is 4k ek7000 comes with an alloy tighter bolt for all weathers (I'm planning to use on my motorbike helmet

Great wee action camera
The AKASO EK7000 is a feature-rich action camera that delivers impressive performance for its price. Here’s an in-depth look at its various aspects:Design and Build QualityThe AKASO EK7000 is compact and lightweight, making it highly portable and easy to mount on various surfaces. It has a rugged design that feels durable, and the included waterproof case is a significant advantage, allowing the camera to be used underwater up to 98 feet (30 meters). This makes it an excellent choice for water sports enthusiasts. The camera comes with an extensive accessory kit that includes multiple mounts, clips, and straps, providing great versatility for different activities like biking, surfing, and diving.Video and Image QualityThe EK7000 records video in 4K at 30fps, which is impressive for a camera in this price range. The footage is clear and detailed, particularly in good lighting conditions. The camera also supports 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps, offering flexibility for different recording needs and smoother slow-motion playback. The 170-degree wide-angle lens captures a broad perspective, which is excellent for action shots and panoramic scenes. The still images are captured at 20MP, producing high-resolution photos. In bright, outdoor settings, the photos are vibrant and sharp. However, in low-light conditions, the image quality decreases with noticeable noise and grain. This is a common issue in budget action cameras, but the EK7000 performs decently overall.Battery LifeBattery life is one of the strong points of the EK7000. It comes with two 1050mAh rechargeable batteries, each providing around 90 minutes of continuous recording. This dual battery setup is very convenient for longer shoots, as you can easily swap out batteries without worrying about running out of power.User Interface and ConnectivityThe camera features a simple and intuitive user interface. The 2-inch LCD screen, though small, is adequate for framing shots and navigating through the menu. Adjusting settings is straightforward, although the screen can be a bit challenging to see in bright sunlight. The EK7000 has built-in Wi-Fi, which allows you to connect the camera to your smartphone via the AKASO app. This enables remote control of the camera and easy transfer of files. The app is functional but can be somewhat laggy and prone to connectivity issues. Improvements in app stability and user experience would enhance the overall usability of the camera.Durability and WaterproofingThe camera’s build quality is robust, and the waterproof case is effective, protecting the camera up to 98 feet underwater. This makes the EK7000 suitable for diving, snorkeling, and other water-related activities. The accessory kit includes various mounts and straps, which are useful for securing the camera in different situations, adding to its durability and versatility.Overall PerformanceThe AKASO EK7000 is an excellent budget-friendly action camera that offers a lot of features typically found in higher-end models. It may not have all the advanced capabilities of premium action cameras, but it covers the essentials very well. The video and image quality, combined with the extensive accessory kit and robust build, make it a strong contender in the entry-level action camera market.**Pros:**- Affordable price- High-quality 4K video recording- 20MP still images- Wide-angle 170-degree lens- Waterproof up to 98 feet with included case- Extensive accessory kit- Good battery life with two included batteries**Cons:**- Low-light performance could be better- Small screen can be challenging to use in bright conditions- App connectivity and stability need improvement- Still images can sometimes appear over-processedThe AKASO EK7000 4K30FPS Action Camera is a fantastic option for those who want a versatile and durable action camera without spending a fortune. Its solid performance, coupled with the extensive accessory kit and underwater capabilities, make it a great choice for adventurers, sports enthusiasts, and casual users alike. While it has some limitations, particularly in low-light conditions and app functionality, its overall value for money is hard to beat.

total bargain- really pleased!
Does what it says on the tin.No mechanical zoom, but that's fine as i'm only using the video function- quality really good, easy to setup, waterproof case works well. Its not as good as a go pro, but its far far better than the pricepoint would suggest- you could literally buy 6 of these for one go pro......Colour looks good in the video and battery life seems pretty good too!

great for skiing
I've scored this 5 stars given the price and the picture quality. There are some negative aspects but given the cost it's hard to mark the camera down for that.I bought this product to use on a ski holiday but also to help with training dinghy sailing. so far only used it for skiing and it performed great. The picture quality is excellent and comes with a few different straps and attachments. I used a basic webbing strap and put it on the shoulder strap of my rucksack while skiing and it worked perfectly.Battery life is ok but given the cold conditions I was skiing in I didn't expect much. I'd say it would last most of the day if you were taking still photos but longer videos (e.g. >15mins) drain it pretty fast which is kind of understandable. As you get 2 batteries with the camera you can easily do a swap over if needed.I used the remote control button which was great.Improvements/negatives:- hard to tell when it's on when you have ski goggles, etc. There's no handy LED light that shows the power is on (not that I could tell anyway)- hard to tell when it's recording versus camera mode. this could be my lack of product knowledge but there was no beep or anything to acknowledge it was recording. you had to pivot the camera so you could see the screen and then try and make out the small type at the bottom of the screen (which is hard to do with ski gloves/goggles and also with rubbish eye sight- unfortunately lost audio on a few videos. this could be user error but just couldn't work out how to get it consistent and obviously I must have made a fat finger error on the slopes- trying to get it working with a mac was a challenge. I couldn't get the mac to recognise the SD card format so had to use windows / phone app- downloading files from camera to device (specifically phones) is painful especially when they're large. the app doesn't persist a queue and the wifi connection can (and will) drop just when you're in the middle of downloading a load of files. the lack of persistent queue means you can't tell where you got upto so you end up starting at the beginning and then having to sort out duplicate filesAside from the negative points above which mostly can be overcome with experience of use I've been really pleased with the camera and plan to use a lot more.
