Love it 🥰
Just what I wanted lovely watch well made not too big and chunky just the right fit comfortable and easy to set up did not have to read the manual took 2 minutes to work out this is the first hybrid watch I have owned I have about 10 automatic watches costing 3 to 4 hundred each and the problem I have is the lum is not great in the dark and they have no light so from now one I will only be buying g shock watches also it’s 200 m waterproof I don’t think I will ever buy an automatic watch again stick with Casio 😀

Excellent Watch & Price!
I was very skeptical on what this watch would be like... When I received it in the post and opened it, my face lit up... It's so nice to look at, and is very durable... It's nice and chunky as well which I love... I hate small watches! Time keeping on this watch is also excellent... If you love analogue and digital together, then this is the watch for you.... The watch is perfectly packaged too, and the service/delivery is excellent... Will definitely be purchasing more G-Shocks from Amazon... Going to get a collection :) BUY THIS BAD BOY!

Just what i needed
I dont generally buy watches for their good looks or follow fashion as a whole, but this watch has both the good looks and is a follower of fashion. Its simple to use, easy to set up, yes i have to agree with many of the reviews i have read before i purchased, that the back light isnt on for long and that it is almost impossible to see the analogue time when in the dark (but thats why theres a back light on the digital clock). The strap is comfy, wide and feels good on my wrist. Apart from not wanting to take it off since it arrived, its a great watch, you just cant get any better. If i could put 10 stars then thats just what i would give.

I wanted to fully test the watch before leaving a review (9 years later!)
What can I say - the watch is nine years old, and still going strong. Unbelievably, it's still on the original battery it was supplied with! I don't use it very often these days but generally take it to events that are likely to not be friendly for your more pricey/fragile watches. For an everyday 'beater' watch, it's money well spent. Your average junky quartz watch will most likely have a poor movement inside (Sekonda etc) but I suspect that the movement in this watch is relatively good quality even at this level. I daresay their high end models have very high quality components but I have no quibbles with what I've seen in this model after nine years. Casio's production facility is like a space age lab and I suspect everything is made in house including the aforementioned movements so I have alot of faith in them as a brand. However, to be totally honest their not really to my tastes anymore but I don't think you can go with wrong one as a 'take it anywhere and do anything' watch. My only quibble is with the time setting function in that you have to hold a button down to advance the hands very slowly in only a clockwise direction so summertime adjustment is a tad painful but oh well..hardly a huge problem. On a side note - I 'stealthed' mine by removing all the printed text off the case and it looks great - like a bare bones military type watch. I'm not a big fan of the 'features' that Casio love plastering about on their models cases/panels!

This watch is a bargin !
Its an out and out everyday watch. A great watch for the active working indivuidual. The multi purpose digital time is incrediable. Easy to change time. Clear precise instructions for set-up. Presented in a Metal tin which suits the 'title' of the watch. A comfortable fit and durable resin strap. The light also illuminates the digital display which is ideal for night usage. A Great Price for a Great watch.

my wife says that I am boring but I like it
This is the second of these watches that I have owned, my wife says that I am boring but I like it. After wearing my last one pretty much every day for ten years, and subjecting it to some rough treatment at times, my last one finally gave up. It still works, but the bulky outer coating cracked and came away. It's a great watch at a great price, the only flaw I have is when changing the time, as we will in a few weeks, you can only wind it forward and not backwards. So if the clocks go back or you are coming home from a foreign holiday where they are ahead, you need to wind it forward by holding in a small button, which is a bit of a faff.

I have had many G Shocks from when I was at college in 1991. I bought a DW 6800 and I got abused for years and then the bezel spilt and I could not get a replacement. Still got it in naked form although it looks stupid. Then a DW 6900, the plastic housing split on that near the strap so that was rendered useless. Then a DW7900 which I only wore at weekends and have a GD100 as a beater which I recommend for just that at £49. Anyway this watch is great for what it is. Yes the reverse lcd is small to read and the watch hands get in the way. The backlight is wimpy and you have to set both the analogue hands and digital time separately. This don’t bother me as I only use the lower display for month, date and day. My phone is my alarm and I don’t need a different time zone or stop watch. All I wanted was a g shock with analogue hands that I can wear at the weekends with whatever I chose to wear. Get it wet no problem and the battery will last because it will only get used twice a year when the clocks go forward and back. You have to hold the top left button down for analogue adjustment and the time at the bottom on mine in the digital part is wrong, but as I said, it isn’t very legible and isn’t a problem. There are lots of g shocks available. I recommend this for analogue hands and the GD100 which is cheaper, but man it takes a beating. The straps on the GD100 crack where the retaining buckle sits over time, but the battery lasts forever. Not sure how long the battery will last on this, but as it will be used little, probably double the manufacturer period of three years. All in all you can’t go wrong with a G Shock. Just make a list of what you want it to do and always read the reviews

Reloj bonito y resistente. La aguja del minutero tiene una cola un poco larga y al principio provoca que se confunda con la aguja de las horas. El tamaño es comedido por lo que es apto para casi todos los tamaños de muñeca.

I used to have a great watch collection that started when I was 12 years old. It began with a Casio G-Shock watch that my uncle bought for me as a present when I visited Thailand. He took me shopping in the market and we stopped in front of a watch store. I remember the hot, sticky musk of summer Bangkok weather, ushering us inside the store with its cool air conditioning and ethereal lighting. My uncle looked at me and said that I could pick any watch that I wanted and that he would pay for it as a present to remember my family in Thailand. My eyes wandered and became fixated on a very large, and bulky plastic watch. It looked like something very technical and indestructible, like I had never seen before. I hadn't ever seen anything like it back in America. It had fancy dials, a stop-watch, and a number of cool features and gadgets. It was a Casio G-Shock. Over the course of 14 years I had collected many other watches, which I had kept in a watch box. As I grew older and began to work, these watches became much more expensive and fancier. I had watches for specific purposes; ones that I used for working in clinic, watches I wore to social gatherings, during sports, during running -- and a watch that my friend Chris had bought me the day I was a best man at his wedding. I even splurged the day I got into medical school by buying myself a Citizen Eco-Drive watch, solar powered with an alligator skin strap, which soon became my most favorite and coveted timepiece. I kept all of these timepieces neatly stored away in my room, until they disappeared this past Tuesday. A indecent excuse for a human being broke into my apartment and stole a large number of things that I own, but most upsetting to me, he took my entire watch collection. He even went through all of my other belongings and took watches that weren't in the box. Watches that weren't even worth a penny on the street or any pawn shop, only had sentimental value to me. Initially I was upset about the most expensive timepieces that I had lost, this depressed me for several days. But I realized a couple days ago that those pieces will be replaced someday -- after all it is only money. What will NEVER be replaced is that Casio G-Shock watch that my uncle bought me 14 years ago. I easily recalled that feeling I had, walking slowly through the store in Bangkok, Thailand, staring at all of the shiny pieces in their display cases, and finding myself finally fixated on that Casio. It was only right to begin a new collection with such a wonderful, perfectly engineered instrument of time. To the team that has been designing and engineering the G-Shock brand of timepieces for almost 30 years, I want to say thank for the memories. And to the man who robbed my apartment this past Tuesday: I'm Buddhist and I truly believe in karma. The universe has a way of correcting wrongs against others.
