Great fit, great boot.
Twenty years ago I used to live in DMs and a few years back I tried to buy some more but had real problems in getting any to fit. The women's were too narrow and the sizes inconsistent. As these were such a great price and also included free returns I decided to give it another go. I'm so glad I did as they are great! In certain shoes (e.g. Clarks, which include half sizes) I'd ideally wear a 6.5 but as this is rarely an option in most brands, I went for a 7. They are not too narrow, are the size I'd hope from a 7 and will be super once they have been 'broken in'. On that note, if you are considering these as your first pair of DM boots, it's worth noting that the leather is really sturdy (will last a long time) and they do take a while to soften up. (Compeed plasters on your heels and wearing a couple of pairs of socks for the first few weeks should be enough to get them comfy without too much discomfort - it'll be worth it!)

Love them my first ever pair.
I really wanted a pair of doc Martins. First put them on and felt like I had a pair of work boots on lol. Soon got used to them. Took some getting used to them and breaking them in mind. Not the most comfortable pair I.ve ever own mind. But they look good. They do rub your legs and hurt your toes a bit but still breaking them in ,no blisters anyway. The idea is wear long socks to break them in first. Not the easiest to get on either lol

Dr Marten's 1460 Original Navy Boots - Still An Icon
Oh how I love these. The supplier got these to me in double-quick time of only two days via courier. Given the very reasonable price I was most impressed - well packed too. The matt navy blue ones I bought here come with black laces for normal people and also spare yellow laces for not-quite-as-normal people like me. The leather is the Dr Marten's 'smooth' finish and so has little grain to it, which is what I expected. They seem to be very well made, despite now production is outside the UK. Time will tell, but at that price and the fact that they are DMs who cares if they explode in a shower of leather - at the moment I am deliriously happy with them and haven't taken them off since delivery yesterday - except in bed of course.. Yes, the leather is rock hard at the moment, but day two of perseverance and they are starting to give nicely already. I have bought specially designed 'comfort shoes' before that are less easy to wear, so I am very happy. Good supplier too - gold stars all 'round everyone.

Not as good as they were, but still the best!
I have worn Doc. boots and shoes for over forty years both for work and leisure. These days they are made in Thailand instead of Northampton and there is a difference in quality. They are not as robust as they used to be with the leather feeling thinner. However, they are still hardwearing and well made. The comfort after the break-in period is unmatched and i would still not consider buying anything else.

The best boots!!
Love these boots! Have them in black but wanted a new colour! It’s a French navy kind of teal colour and lovely. Great price compared to the stores, arrived on time. Once broken in these are the best boots.

Worth every penny
There's nothing to dislike about these historic greatly made boots.. Bought for wife for Xmas, delivered when stated , they came in an outer box, then inner box was the original Dr martens box , with each boot wrapped individually for scuff protection.. excellent service , excellent boot..

Do not last, poor quality
Have been buying dr martens for over 10 years but very disappointed with these. Polished on a weekly basis but have barely lasted 6 months . I usually average a couple of years out of a pair. Not happy at all.

Get a size smaller then your usual!
When the Docs arrived they looked amazing but rather large! I’m a size 11 across the board but when I tried these on they were massive! I tightened the laces as much as they would go and my foot was still able to move freely inside the boot. It was an easy exchange process! Selected a size down although I went for the cherry red. They arrived within days and I’ve only just sent back the originals today! As for my new cherry red docs the the size 10 for my size 11 feet fit much better. Comfy(ish) from the start but I’m sure after a couple of weeks they will be great! Would easy recommend! In the flesh the cherry wins over the black for me!
