No the tee has 1"external threads and is threaded at 3/4 " internally on both sides. Thus it will accommadate a variety of incoming and outgoing pipe sizes. A veru good product and the union is a terrific bonus. Great product.

Does anyone have a diagram of how this is connected to well and tank?

Connect to TANK! Not to WELL! The tee is simple; one end=well water in...other end= water from tank to house...the "T" pipe to the TANK! SIMPLE/WORKS WELL!

Why is the water out connector 1-1/4” ?

Probably some plumbing code, I put a reducer coupling from 1-1/4 to 1" for my setup. No big deal. You can get whatever size reducer coupling you need

If you are saying your house is connected to a community water system, you have a well hooked upto a yard or other type outside hydrant but have no drain valve on your tank tee and you want to relieve the pressure on your system then yes, with pump off and hydrant open, pressure will be relieved. If this doesn't answer your question maybe you could restate it in a bit more detail.
