it was easy to install this to my parent’s older TV (LG 42LK450-UB). Connected the included cable to the Optical Digital Audio Out port, plugged it in, changed input on their regular tv remote, and it worked. The key is that my parents did not want to have to use the soundbar remote, and this worked through the regular TV remote.

Quality of the sound is good even without a sub. Use it every day on my TV with no issues.

Most Tv's however good they are have poor sound quality.They "pump" their sound straight back from their TV's against the back of the wall wherever they are positioned. This "sound-bar" brings the sound refined and clear towards the front. This particular one does a good job .I'm happy with it period!.Good performance for the money.Thank you!

I use it with a computer monitor but it is not very good for music since it has no bass.
