Wool Plus Size Thigh High Socks For Thick Thighs- Extra Long Womens Warm Cable Knit Over Knee Stockings Leg Warmers

I have been looking for good over the knee/thigh high socks for AGES. Most socks fit me up until my thigh, where they get really tight, uncomfortable, or just don't ever even reach to my thighs even though the product is advertised as up to thigh high. These came vacuum sealed in a little box with free belt loop clips for your thighs to help keep them up. I got these on sale for I think around $14 bucks for one pair. I felt like it was a little pricey at first since there's a lot of other socks on Amazon that come in sets of four for the same price, but decided on these ones because I didn't think the other ones would fit, and the reviews on these ones looked much better than some of the other sites. And I am SO happy that I picked these instead! These were worth every penny. I bought them in white because most of my closet is pastel pink and white, and they match perfectly. I love the cable design, the nice ribbing, and the details of the socks. They're super cozy and perfectly suitable for the Autumn/Winter weather. Furthermore though, the socks ACTUALLY reach my mid-thigh, if not slightly higher. I'm 5'4" and my thigh circumference is just under 23 inches. These fit, are stretchy, and aren't tight at my thigh at all. They stretch even further out than that, so if you have thicker thighs than I do, there's quite a bit of room in the top of the sock to fit thighs of all sizes. The socks have a decent thickness to them, at least thicker than most of the other over the knee socks you'll find from other generic brands, in my opinion. They're not ultra thick, but much better than other brands. I will say that they have a somewhat slippery feel to them, so they slide down while you walk around. But for me, that just means on my bare legs they become kind of a slouchy look around over my knees, which I really like the look of. I don't use the clips because I have no interest in using them so I can't comment on those. Honestly I had such mild, low expectations but I'm CRAZY impressed with how great these socks are! I have full plans to take advantage of the sales and get myself a pair in black, maybe gray, and maybe even the blush pink because I love these so much! Overall, 10/10 would ABSOLUTELY recommend!

Okay, I bought these after reading all the reviews that they don’t stay up. I thought maybe I could find a way to make them work. First off, these are sooo soft and thickly plush. I couldn’t stop touching them and squeezing them. It’s like squeezing a marshmallow made of angora. Sliding them over your feet simply feels like heaven. Mindful of the bare-leg reviews, I wore them over leggings, and made sure the leggings weren’t slick material like spandex. I am very tall (6’), and they came up mid thigh on me. Without the garters, there’s absolutely no way they would have stayed up. The garters are simple and flat, with a simple and flat closure. I don’t have to wear them tightly in order for them to work. They did slide down to just above my knees, but they held well and comfortably. The socks did not puddle at all. They didn’t slide down as I went through my day, and they didn’t require adjusting. They looked great with my outfit too. They’re very warm, maybe too warm for the day today. I am looking forward to trying them on a colder day. I wore them with a dress today, I think I’d like to try them with pants. They cushion your feet so nicely. So comfortable. I really like these. Buy them with awareness of their flaws, but definitely buy them.

There is no elastic of any type in the tops. They do fit well but at 5ft9in they are not long enough to try too use garter belt and the included thigh straps while they have nice clasps and hardware they just cant work because the straps are a slick type of strap similar to stretchy bra strapping. To be able to keep these wool/cotton bland socks up the straps would need to be something grabby and not slide so easily on thew wonderful warm and comfortable socks. The only way I can think of keeping these up is to either sew then to a pair of shorts or maybe suede or a rough strapping to try to grab and hold the socks like old school medieval garters. I literally could not have made the strapping any tighter and still they do not stay up. I like to wear thigh high stockings and I am baffled by how to keep there socks from falling down even with the strapping provided, LOL. I do truly love these socks. The blend is nice and soft, though I prefer a bit more wool, the weave is classic and well executed comfortably stretching to it my fat lady legs yet conformed to my leg shape without bagging to sagging and yet feels comfortable which demonstrates the quality of the construction of the knit and yarn. I really really love these in spite of the drawback of as yet not being able to find a way to keep there up. These are perfect for when I am dressed up in some historical costume and cannot wear other alternatives because they interfere with the costume or would show and is not appropriate when demonstrating at a demo. I have no hesitation recommending these but the tops need some kind of redesign. If it is possible to make thigh high stocking that stay up why not socks?

As everyone else has already said these are great! But I wanted to add a review for anyone between buying beige and grey. The grey is more warm toned, so the beige will probably be more of a very warm brown. In the photo is a comparison of the grey color to a regular heather grey of my sweats. (Yes I was wearing these under sweatpants... I was cold.) I wear these over my compression socks to look cute, but they are very warm. They're not itchy like some wool products are. They don't stay up as others have said, but they don't need to if you're lounging in them. They stay up above the knee for me. They are pricey but the quality is pretty good for the price. I'd buy it again even at regular price, and I think I will in another color.

Bonitas, confortáveis e com bom ajuste nas pernas. O tecido é macio e esquenta bem. Podiam ser um pouco mais resistentes para uso frequente, mas cumprem bem o propósito.

Adoro queste calze, sono morbidissime, calde e confortevoli. La giarrettiera in dotazione è molto comoda anche se devo dire che tendono a scendere comunque dopo un po' che ci si muove. In ogni caso niente di problematico.
