Few of the keys on my Compaq Presario V6000 series laptop got melted due to nearby heat source! Don't ask me how :)... I researched and ordered this keyboard from seller. I got very prompt delivery with nice packing..no issues. I opened the case and realized that even though part number was same, layout of keyboard was different and was not fitting my laptop :(. I called up the technical support and they were so supportive and professional right from the word go! They spend considerable time to understand my issue and offered me to replace/send the replacement right away and even advised me that I may not have to return the previous one as they did not want me to incur the shipping charges (considering that it was $18 worth of product with $6 of shipping)! This has been truly great experience and I would never hesitate to place order on them any time in future. All in all they have gained all my trust and I would recommend all to place orders on them when ever you need any relevant products.

Shipped fast! Keyboard fit properly. I just wish it had come with instructions. Luckily I was able to find some information online.Note - this keyboard fit my HP Pavilion dv6000, more specifically the Pavilion dv6700 service tag dv6830us laptop.Most instructions say to remove battery, remove two screws, then flip laptop over and pry off the speaker/control bezel just above keyboard.For my laptop, there were 4 more screws to remove - 3 small silver screws in the battery compartment, and one small black screw in the RAM compartment (you'll need to remove the RAM memory cover...). Once done, follow the remaining instructions found online.Other than this slight SNAFU, the replacement keyboard seems to work as it should.I'd recommend this replacement part to anyone that has the same laptop I have.

After my cat decided to use my laptop (Compaq V6000) as his own "hot spot"... and then proceeded to take several keys with him when I picked him up; I needed a replacement. This keyboard was a perfect fit.Now then, if you're wondering about how much fun this is to install, I'd say plenty. If you're good at marking down where every screw came from and can feel around for anything you missed (easy to do) without getting frustrated and just yanking, you'll do fine. Otherwise, buy this keyboard and take it to a repair shop, you'll probably save quite a bit on the repair if you already have the part (I've worked for repair shops and they usually like to mark everything up a little). It took me maybe half-an-hour to pop the old one out and get the new one in. Worked perfectly first try, no complaints at all!

I purchase this keyboard a few weeks ago because milk was spilled on my original keyboard. After searching for the right keyboard, I knew this one was a great choice, especially since there was a solid 5-star rating.This keyboard it identical in every way to the original keyboard on my HP Pavilion dv6000. It was so easy to install. If you go to youtube, there are several easy six or seven minute tutorials that will help guide you through the installation process.It's been a few weeks now and I have absolutely no complains. Buy this keyboard if you are looking. This is THE right one for you.

Works well, but is not compatible with my tablet. it rolls up or folds up and should be waterproof and dirt/dust proof. Key action does click but it's not as responsive as a desktop keyboard. Of course, if you plan on putting it on your lap when you type you will find that it works like Salvador Dali's melting clock, so it does need to be on some hard flat surface.

I can't believe how easy was to replace my old keyboard. It was a victim of my two toddler boys and finally I decided to fix it. Some websites offer key replacements for $6 each, so Amazon was for me the best option for a brand new keyboard. For instructions you can find some YouTube videos, I watched this one: "A real time video of how to remove the keyboard from an HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop. Brought to you by [...]". It was easy and the more important thing: It works perfectly!

So our 3 year old son took it upon his self to pick off several keys on my Husband's Laptop.....This was a great replacment. However wish it was silver instead of black but for the price I can not really complain. It does not come with instructions but that was mentioned with other customers feedback. We took it to best buy and for $40.oo bucks they installed it. Received the keyboard two days before I was listed to. Overall great product and works great.
