Xtool really does have good customer service.
I bought the IP819 because it seemed like a lot of bang for the buck. The reviews were good, the features seemed to be what I wanted, they said the customer service was pretty good.. And unlike a lot of cheaper products, I didn't see a single review that said "It just didn't work"...Well.. MINE didn't work.. Some problems getting it to do anything, had to reset the entire system, then I did the updates and then I hooked it to 3 vehicles, it couldn't see any of them.. As somebody that is mechanically inclined enough to buy a scan tool, the first thing I did was make sure there was continuity on the cable, there was...Got in touch with the Xtool people.. First thing they want me to do is check continuity on the cable, I sent them some screen shots that the tech people wanted to see, and eventually they told me to send it back.. OK.. No problem, they sent me a UPS label..They got it back, said it was a mess.. And there was a bit of delay, which was a little frustrating, but they answered e-mails in a reasonably quick time, occasionally within minutes, and sent me a new one.. It didn't happen as fast as I wanted, but there was no question they were going to leave me hanging, and they let me know that, and they backed that up. Things happen, I understand that, just make it good please. They absolutely 100% made it good..I'm happy.. If I needed it TODAY, I probably wouldn't be, but I didn't, it was a toy/tool to put in the box so that it was there the day that I really did need it..I've only played with it a bit. But so far I'm very impressed for the price. I can graph things, and even better, I can graph things together on the same graph, and *I* get to choose what those things are...I can turn stuff on and off in the Jeep.. I found something on one of the lists in one of the modules that I didn't know what it was.. Apparently I have lighted cup holders, I never knew, they were never lit.. But I can light them up at 5 different intensities with this scan tool, or turn them off, which is apparently where they were..I have an ambient light out in my drivers side door, and my hatch has done a full cycle of opening and closing 1753 times. There is also a sensor back there that is cranky, its reporting 120v, and we all know that's not right in a vehicle, and so does the computer, so its ignoring it..This thing is cool.. Blows a simple code reader out of the water. This thing will pay for itself in beer in short order.. "My check engine light is on, can you 'read the code'." Yep, yes I can. And I can now turn on your cup holder lights for an extra six pack.

Outstanding for the money!!!
I used to be a manager and automotive locksmith technician for a nation wide car key company a few years ago. I used Advanced Diagnostics and Autel programmers. I’ve used this about 20 times over last year, mostly for key programming. It’s not a $8000 programmer like I used to have, but for the money, this thing is outstanding! The most recent vehicle was a 2022 Elantra with smart key. It read the security code and programmed keys without flaw.

A True All-in-One Powerhouse! - XTOOL IP819 Exceeds Expectations!
After reviewing I'm absolutely blown away by the XTOOL IP819 scanner! As someone who owns a mix of vehicles (Toyota, Ford, and Jeep), I needed a diagnostic tool that could do more than just read codes. I specifically wanted support for TPMS functions, key and remote programming capabilities, as I've bought used cars and needed extra keys for family. The IP819 handled all three makes flawlessly! Programming keys and remotes was a breeze, saving me a ton of money compared to dealership prices. This paid for the scanner alone.Beyond the key programming, I was also looking for a scanner that could connect to an endoscope, and the IP819 with it's USB-C port delivered! I bought the XTOOL endoscope separately, and it integrates perfectly. This has been invaluable for inspecting hard-to-reach areas well outside the automotive arena.During a recent TPMS DTC issue with my Ford, I had to reach out to XTOOL support. I was incredibly impressed with their responsiveness and helpfulness. Gigi from their support team was fantastic! She consistently replied within 24 business hours, providing clear and concise guidance. The level of customer service alone makes this scanner worth every penny. But the real surprise has been the continuous software updates! XTOOL is constantly adding new features and expanding vehicle coverage. It's clear they are committed to improving their product and providing long-term value. Other companies charge yearly for this support. If you're looking for a professional-grade scanner that can handle diagnostics, key programming, and more, the XTOOL IP819 is the perfect choice. It's a five-star product with exceptional support and ongoing improvements. Highly recommended!

Excellent value with features and capabilities that even high end professional units don’t have!
I’ve had this scanner for a couple of weeks so far and I’m very impressed! So far, not only have I NOT found anything that my Snap On Apollo D9 can do that this scanner cannot, but I’ve actually found several functions that the X-Tool CAN DO that the Snap On can NOT do! Not to mention you can email reports directly out of this unit and you can take photos with this unit which are even more things the Snap On unit cannot do. All of this for a small fraction of the cost of other scanners, especially the Snap On ones! Overall, I highly recommend this unit as it is an outstanding value and excellent tool!
