Mu Folding Type-C 20W PD Fast Charger

Not sure what has happened to the company but I bought one of these a long time ago and they are still going strong. Excellent make, durability, weight and great value for money and made for travelling. Whether iPad, iPhone or Android these are great at charging and fold down nicely to fit in my laptop bag. Still get asked what is it when I pull it out to use somewhere

The standard UK mains plug has huge pins sticking out, so I was very pleased to find this compact charger where the pins swivel away and you are left with a thin flat slab. When folded, the live and neutral pins are covered by the housing of the charger, while the plastic earth pin sticks out just a few millimetres. The overall package, when folded, is thin, smooth and regular in shape, and packs really easily without scratching other things as it would if the metal pins were exposed. When unfolded and plugged in, the housing is compact enough that it never blocked the switch on the power outlet, or the adjacent outlet. The single USB-C port worked well and seemed to charge at the claimed speed. A double port would be nice, but then it would inevitably be less light and compact.

Amazing and best foldable charger I could find. I always have it in my bag as it's so nice and small when folded it takes virtually no space. A must have for anyone who wants to have a nice portable charger on them!

These fold down to a very svelte form, and it’s hard to find smaller UK portable chargers. The main metal prongs do not fold out as in other designs, but swivel around, and thus they seem much less fragile. This does get a little hot, but not much more than other designs

Works as expected and seems to deliver the slightly higher wattage as per the sales material (vs. other similar plugs). Quality control isn't 100% as the USB C port is slightly offset and the visual appearance is of a slightly poorer quality than other devices bought over the years

I'm on my third one of these. I bought the very early one after following the design of this for a couple of years. That one lasted many years but eventually stopped working. I bought a replacement a couple years ago but was gutted when I lent it to someone who manage to lose it. Gutted. Bought this one as a replacement and opted for the USB-C version as that what everything seems to be swapping over to.

I have an original Mu that still works, but is outdated in the world of fast-charging and connectivity. This new one fixes all those issues. USB-C input, fast charging output and folds flat to 13mm in height. Really - there's not much more to be said. The fold-flat ability makes it properly pocket-friendly and that's what really sells the device.

Had one of the old, even smaller 1A USB-A versions for years but wanted something with a bit more power for my new phone. A bit surprised they're still on sale as I'd read that the company had sadly folded during Covid so not sure if these are old stock or the Chinese OEM have just kept producing them. Anyway, works really well, gets a bit warm under load but nothing too alarming and still the perfect design to not punch holes in your pocket or bag like most UK plug chargers. Also (slowly but effectively) charges my Chromebook so very happy with it.
