The review I wish I had before installing
First off great product and name brand. This review is regarding the clips that come with it for mounting. If you don’t read anything else I type here, the ABSOLUTELY most important detail you do NOT get in the tutorial instructions, is ORIENTATION OF THE POWER CONTROLLER MATTERS!! Trust me it will save you a lot of headache and popping the adhesive back off, because the rope does not fit properly if you place it on the other side. The box needs to be placed somewhere on the right side of the monitor if facing the rear of it. Secondly, just because it comes with like 5 clips (two are 90° bends), you most likely will not need or even want to use them all. I didn’t use a 90 on the monitor shown in the pic. I used one on the other monitor (mistakes were made, cursing and removing clips etc) but I got it looking good. Everyone’s situation will differ depending on your lighting needs. Also, I have dual 32” and this cord is basically perfect. It states 24 through 27” monitors, but you can safely ignore that. Best of luck my friends.

Bright and Functional Lightstrip – Great for My 27” Monitor!
The Philips Hue Gradient PC LED Lightstrip has been a fantastic addition to my setup. The lights sync perfectly with my 27-inch monitor, and the length is ideal for full coverage, giving my set up a polished and immersive look. The brightness is excellent, and the colors are vibrant, creating a stunning ambiance that really enhances my workspace. Connectivity has been reliable as long as you have a stable internet connection, and I haven’t experienced any flickering. Everything functions smoothly, making it a great option for high-quality monitor lighting. It’s worth noting that this lightstrip is designed more for flat monitors, but I’ve been using it with a curved monitor without any major issues. While it might not fit as seamlessly as on a flat screen, it still works well and delivers the same impressive results. However, if you want to sync these lights with your monitor or control them through the app, you’ll need both the Philips Hue Bridge and the Philips Hue Sync Box. Once you have those, setup is straightforward, and the system runs flawlessly with plenty of customization options. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I accidentally broke one of the plugs after using it for a while, which was entirely my fault. Despite this, the light-strip has exceeded my expectations, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their setup!

Exactly what's on the tin
This does exactly what you expected it to do, and works perfectly. I've upgraded from some old mad cats cyborg lights I've used since 2008 or so. I'd agree with what others say about the adhesive strips that come with it, as it will eventually fail. I already had some 3m tape product that worked better so used that. Software is excellent.

Expensive and not for everyone.
My entire house is lighted by hues. I have the two sync boxes. One on my home theater and i bought this for my gaming tv which is a 42 inch LG C2 OLED.I do enjoy these lights and find it annoying to play without them on and synced to the PS5. I had to buy another device to enable 4k/120hz to use on my PS5.I had another non hue branded LED strip around prior and those had a more saturated colored. Bright and vibrant. And they were more accurate in color as each LED were able to change color to match the screen. The hues only have 6-7 zones of LEDs. On top of that, the hues only wrap around the top and both sides. The bottom is blank so I bought a pair of Hue play bars for the bottom.Set up is probably the easiest of any back lighting system as they provide a few plastic clamps stick on to the back of your monitor. Then you just clip on the LED strips and plug in the power.Build quality to these LED strips is fantastic. It wont break on you when installing.I deducted one star due to the price and cost to run this system. And removed another star mainly for the LED zones.I have no regrets in this purchase and would buy again. Also, newer LG and Samsung TVs allow you to purchase the sync box app instead of buying the sync box for a few hundred dollars.

Great for all the ROYGBIV-heads out there
I had one of the older hue light strips someone gave me to, but decided to get this to put behind my music stuff on my desk (though behind a monitor would work great if the monitor is up towards a wall so the light can really reflect, my monitor isn’t close enough so it’d be a little dull). The older strip I have lines the underside of my desk, and is cool, but can’t do any gradients, so this is pretty slick. A bit pricey considering the length but you can customize it with 3 different colors (you can select 3 on the color wheel, but the gradient effect can make it seem like more, as it fills in the gaps between what you select, so if you have red and blue selected on one end, various violets and purples fill in between). You can also move around the distance between each of the 3 selected colors to get some really cool patterns; if you’ve ever messed with gradient colors on text in like a photo editor or something, same idea. It’s decently bright, and I think plenty bendy though I didn’t use the included shaper things, to bend around a monitor, but they seem like they’d work fine. All in all, I am happy with the results! The only real drawback I think is price compared to the length you get, but, hue stuff has been super reliable for me over the years so I’ve decided to stick with them and haven’t yet had a bad experience.

Absolutely love it…
Installation was just ok had to reference YouTube but it was a breeze after reviewing a video on YouTube. Absolutely love the variety of colors. Guards and adhesive included works wonderfully, connectivity without Hue Bridge works great. Highly recommended for home office with low lighting or bedroom corner home office setup.
