It does what it is supposed to.
It works well for me. I am able to travel with it and the hotel TV's work with it so far.

A tad involved to set up but worth the effort!
I choose the Iogear mini display adapter mainly because the Microsoft MS Display adapter is no longer available. Of the alternative choices I went with Iogear because I have used there products before and was never disappointed. There is , however, more setup for this product. It is a tad involved but well worth to the effort to set up. I use it for casting from my Microsoft Surface Pro 8 to a Visio Smart TV. it works as advertised.
