Olbas Cough Syrup has been a lifesaver during cold season. I love that it uses natural ingredients like herbs and essential oils — no harsh chemicals, and it doesn’t leave that artificial aftertaste like some other syrups. The consistency is thick and soothing, and it coats the throat really well. Within minutes, my cough calms down and I can actually sleep through the night. It also helps clear up congestion a bit, which is a nice bonus.

This is the best herbal cough syrup my husband & I have ever used. We both came down with a winter cold -- lots of congestion and coughing. Olga's cough syrup soothed our throat, cleared our chest, and stopped our coughing with every spoonful. It really helped us to sleep better than we ever had when experiencing this type of cold. And it has a very pleasant herbal honey taste. We also tried the Lozenges and were equally as impressed with their effectiveness. I don't typically write reviews, but Olba's is an excellent product. This cough syrup really works! I used it many times over the years. All natural plant extracts combined with essential oils make it highly effective. It is sweetened with honey and tastes very pleasant. Take the time and look up the individual ingredients. This product has been around for over fifty years and as far as I can remember the ingredients are still the same. I grew up with this syrup and let's just say I'm old enough to have grand kids.

The olbas cough syrup does stop a cough. The problem is it tastes nasty! I will have a hard time getting it down the next time I have a cough. But if you like herbal meds and need a cure this works great when over the counter medicines won't. It does have to be taken every 2 hours which is not convenient but if you want to quit coughing and can get it down it is worth the money.

I highly recommend this syrup. I use it every time I feel a cold or sore throat coming on and it works wonders. I even try to remember to pack this along when we go on vacations just in case someone gets sick, as it isn't easy to find at your average drug or grocery store. A store clerk at Whole Foods recommended this syrup to me as one other customers found helpful when I was there looking for something non-toxic to give our kids when they were sick. It tastes great and seems to be made up of natural ingredients, like honey and licorice. We do try home remedies like tea with honey and lemon for sore throats, but the ingredients in this syrup seem to work better than any home remedy I have been able to concoct on my own so far. I try to never run out and keep a bottle in the house at all times.

Olbas cough syrup is very effective at stopping a cough. When I develop a truly nasty cough, it will take about 2 or 3 doses (according to directions) to completely calm my cough. It also helps break up the phlegm so you can get over it faster. I have been using Olbas products for years because they work, and I highly recommend all their products. I do not believe there is anything better on the market, prescription or otherwise, and they are safe. I love Olbas. I recently had a very sore throat when I got sick, and I gargled with 1 teaspoon of Braggs Raw Apple Cidar Vinegar in 1/2 cup of water. Talk about a nasty taste, BUT, I gargled 3 times, spitting out the mixture each time (according to directions from the Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar book) and I went back to bed minutes later minus the sore throat. (My throat was hurting so bad that I got up at 3am to go check my Bragg book to see if they had a remedy for sore throat, and lucky for me, they did). It truly worked. These are just two natural remedies I use, that are much more effective than prescriptions, and safe also. I highly recommend both Olbas and Braggs for a much healthier, speedy recovery. It was recommended for my friend who is a Nurse Practitioner. I was a little skeptical but it has helped me a lot. I got from my son the Flu A and I normally suffer allergies, therefore; when I have flu I keep on going coughing for weeks. This has saved me. After I tried the first box, I bought a package of six for having at home or even for a friend suffering with cough. I have high blood pressure and it didn’t affect my blood pressure. I was afraid because I read a review of someone saying that you need to be careful. It took me one year to balance my blood pressure, I saw five doctors and finally a great doctor was able to prescribed the best combination of medicine for me. It was really high. Saying that, don’t be afraid. Try it first and then you can have you own conclusions. I’m really happy because now I don’t have to take those horribles medicines from over the counter that gave me diarrhea, terrible headache and stomachache. Just an advice, don’t take more of the suggested dose, at least if it is really necessary, but; for me the recommended dose was enough. At the beginning, I needed it every two hours. Now I’m feeling better and I just take it twice or three times per day if I need it.

I am diabetic and I love this cough syrup! It doesn't run my sugars through the roof and it does a fantastic job of stopping a cough in its tracks. Also, it has all natural ingredients which promote wellness like licorice which is a natural expectorant and helps clear out your chest. My husband had an awful chest cold and was really suffering and I gave him some of this and it let him get a good night's sleep and I'm confident that put him in a better position to let his body heal. I took it a week later when I got sick and found it just as helpful.

this proved to be a good purchase as you can use it more frequently than regular cough medicines. The taste is ok as the honey makes it palatable and you can fell it lining your throat. Recommend this product to all concerned.
