I would give 0 stars if I could. I was excited to use this cutter for a birthday cake, but there isn't enough tension on the 'blade'. It flexed so much that it went through the cake at an angle, and the layers were *not* even. I got much more even layers just cutting free hand with a long serrated knife. Please do not waste your money on this.

I work in a grocery store bakery, and was very excited to try this out. Thought it'd save a lot of time splitting cakes versus the standard knife method. It's just not sharp enough or strong enough in the center to cut evenly, doesn't matter how slow or gently I went all I did was ruin and waste 3 entire cakes trying to cut them down the center.

The blade is not stiff across. It is very loose and flimsy and does not cut the cake layers even close to straight. It cut more of a wavy line. Does not work for the purpose intended.

I purchased this so I can take my baking to the next level by doing larger cakes. I haven’t had any issues as of yet.

I was eager to use this, however it cut off target because it is too flexible and the blade went it's own way. Hard to control to get it to go straight. Had to do cover up patches on my sheet cake. It's going to goodwill. Let somebody else struggle with it.
