I like this but I would definitely not recommend the top coat because it just doesn't work as a good top coat. After using this a few times I would suggest a few deviations from the instructions given in the booklet.1. Do not use the top coat it dries matte and almost like superglue with somewhat of a white crystalline experience. I just ended up buffing it away and using a separate top coat. When I replace my base, which I assume I will run out of more quickly I will not be buying more top coat.2. The base coat is shinier and seems to work better as a top coat than the actual top coat they provide. I found that adding a layer of base and not adding the activator after as a final step worked better than using the top coat. The activator made the base matte again.3. I actually did buffing before adding the base coat and after the activator. This makes the nails come out smoother and gets rid of any lumps and irregularities before adding the base. If you add base before you will just have to buff through it to even out the nails. So I prefer to buff then add the final layer of base.4. You can use the base as a top coat or a combo of the base and a different top coat- this is my preference for the highest amount of shine.5. Make sure to follow the instructions about the thin coats, the coats should be very thin and dipping at a 45-degree angle or else you will get clumping or thickness in strange places. Also one nail at a time and tap off the excess powder and give it about 20 seconds before brushing it off just to be safe. Pay attention to the tops and sides when applying the base coat.6. I store the brush for the base coat in the brush restorer when not in use to extend the life of it because it does harden after a few uses.Overall I like this kit and have used it with different powders from different brands.

Love this acrylic dip system! Actually I love Gelish! Been using the brand over the last 4 years, after investing in their gel polish system. This system is easy to apply and long lasting. I grew out tips relatively long after applying around thanksgiving with regular bi-weekly refills until January 10th (currently wrapped own nails. I’ve been very successful using this dip system with the IBD Flex fine acrylic powder for the initial full set and refills. Using this set allowed me to perfect and create salon quality manicures at home. This system is straight to the point... no building/sculpting and saves you a great deal of time in the application process. I do recommend using a electric nail file to shape and smooth more easily. Otherwise, I got good results with old skool filing and buffing (bit of hand pain). I will keep these in my personal stash. I hope it’s never discontinued.

I purchased this starter kit, along with a couple of gelish dip powder colors separately. The first time I used it, it worked perfectly, and I was so impressed with how easy and nice my nails looked. I ordered more colors even. It lasted about 2-3 weeks which I was highly impressed with. But now I went to do a new manicure, and I can’t get the base coat open. It’s like super glued shut. Now mind you I’ve used this once and I was extremely careful with it and cleaned it up and stored it standing straight up. So I don’t understand how it could be sealed shut to the point where I can’t get it open even with trying to pry it open with pliers. It won’t budge. I’ve tried everything. And the top coat brush is harder than a rock and can’t be used either. Again I was extremely careful with these and cleaned them with the brush restorer even before putting them away. It’s been soaking for 24 hours now and it’s still Harder than a rock. I tried contacting the company to receive replacements since 2 out of the 5 polishes in the set don’t work. I was told that it is not eligible for a refund, return, or replacement. I am beyond mad and extremely disappointed in this polish and company. I loved it so much at first and now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I just basically threw away $50 and have 6 colors of dip sitting here that I can’t use now because your product is bad. I ordered this as an upgrade to my starter dip kit. The formulas are great and the Gelish dip powder I ordered is fantastic. The brushes, however, are horrible. Two of the four bottles had brushes that were already split. No amount of brush cleaning has helped. So the coverage of everything in the set is great but my top coat is rough and streaky because the brush doesn’t apply smoothly. I read other reviews with this problem but figured it might be user error or just a random manufacturer error but it’s definitely a real problem. My cheap starter set brushes are in great shape and I’ve never had to clean them. Just be aware this might be an issue for you. I’m disappointed as I love the smooth gloss of a dip topcoat and I’m not getting that with this product.

Worked good

The product is good, the fastest and easiest and most convenient used until now. I had to share it with a friend, so, I went back to buy it for her. mine did not come with instructions, but on youtube there are videos of how it should be used,It does not peel and lasts a lot, three weeks ago I put it on my nails and there they go. It can be used with any acrylic powder, or simply use the kit alone as it comes. Very convenient the brush restorer, for itself insome time harden, not all the kits bring this.

Price was good and delivery speedy

Cuando los compré los usé bien, pero ahora en la base y el activador las tapas se pegaron y no hay manera de abrirlos, además de eso cuando las pude usar la brocha se separaba y hacía difícil colocar el producto en las uñas y el olor es desagradable y cala en los ojos. El producto no se me hace económico para lo que realmente es. No recomiendo que lo compren.
