Beautiful Set
This set was beautiful and great quality. I might order another.*******************3-Year Update******************So it has been 3 years since I purchased this set and I am amazed and extremely happy about my purchase. This set is so worth every penny and then some.My pots still look almost new and they still cook amazing. I have put them in the dishwasher a couple of times since I bought them and the handles have not cracked. I have never used them in the oven, I didn't even know that was an advertisement and it never even crossed my mind, so I can't speak on the results of that, but judging from other's reviews, I will be staying far away from that. There is some fading on the handles and the bottom of the pots I use the most are no longer solver and look brand new, but that is just normal wear and tear to me. I use these pots every meal and they are still holding up great.I have looked all over and cannot find another set like this. I usually don't use metal, but I was making a cheese sauce and the cheese did get stuck to the bottom of my pot, and I needed to use the pot right away for another dish, and I decided to use my metal pot scraper because I didn't have time to wait to soak it off, and it did not have one scratch. This prompted me to come and update my review, and to look for a smaller quart size pot like this.My only request is that this company make more sizes and possibly a Dutch oven that can actually withstand the heat. By the way, I still get compliments on this set when I have company over for dinner. I can't say enough about this set, and I will be purchasing more sets as gifts and another for myself just in case.As for the others that have experienced the black stuff on the bottom or cracked handles that were not used in the oven or dishwasher, they must have gotten defective sets, because I have never had any issues with mine.

No care instructions included
I was a bit surprised that there were no "Care and use" instructions included with the set. However, if you do your research as I did before purchasing by reading the reviews you will get a idea of what to do and not to do. The negative reviews I have seen here seem to reference putting the cookware in the oven or using a dishwasher. Though the marketing says it's dishwasher safe using a dishwasher is not a good idea. Think about it. The handles are wood. You put them in a dishwasher and saturate them with water and then subject them to high heat during the drying process and OF COURSE they are going to split and crack. Mine will never see the inside of a dishwasher. Then there is the oven use. Ok, they say you can use them in the oven. Well, I suppose you can but then again, the handles are wood. Yes, the pan or pot will hold up but wood is wood. What is wood going to do if you subject it to 350 + temps for an extended period? of time? I just received my set today. My roommate was surprised and she was eager to try them out because she had been complaining about our current non-stick cookware which has now had most of the coating come off so it has become "Will stick" cookware and you are eating the non-stick that has come off. She cooked up a couple of steaks. They came out beautifully...which is a wonder in itself because I don't mean to bash my roomie but she is not a very good cook. There was residue left in the pan. She put the pan in the sink and filled it with it water to soak. Well, my curiosity got the best of me so I went in the kitchen put a small dab of Dawn on a sponge and wiped the pan. It all came up instantly . I even took a video but apparently you can't post videos to reviews only photos. I feel if I don't make the same mistakes others have about using the oven or the dishwasher this set will last me a lifetime. I'll update after these get more use but for right now, I am very satisfied and pleasantly surprised by this purchase.

Sure Aesthetically Cute
At first I was iffy about buying this because I know how much I HATE wooden things in the kitchen. I don't want to deal with splintering like some of the things my parents had growing up, and the wooden spoons and cutting boards just never feel clean. (I also don't like cast iron. Maybe I'm weird for it, but that's me. I don't care. Judge me all you want.) I went ahead and bought these. They're super cute, but the "wooden" parts are NOT wood. They look to be coated with a print of some sort to look like wood. I think that's even better. They're nice and heavy and really sturdy. I haven't put them in the dishwasher because I'm scared, but if I ever do I'll try to remember to put an update here. They're also a lot bigger than I thought they would be. It would be amazing if I was cooking for a large family or a party or if I just wanted to make sure there were leftovers. The pots and pans I had before were too small to really cook a lot of food at once. Like I couldn't add multiple cans of veggies to a meal. I would have to cook them in batches. These are big enough to do that.I can't wait to cook more with these pots and pans! (I'm getting pretty good at cooking... Just wanted to brag.)

Best pans
I've never been one to spend a lot of money (and really these weren't super expensive compared to some others) on most things, but I have heard you get what you pay for. I was unsure about getting these because I didn't recognize the name. I'm so glad I did! The ceramic, or whatever the surface is, is way better than the teflon coating that most pans use. I now know why chef's are so particular about their pans. I never realized how much a pan could make a difference in what you cook. I literally have not changed anything else (the type, name brand of any products I cook) but my food comes out perfect. Nothing is under cooked. Nothing is over cooked. My eggs look like picture perfect chef eggs (I cook mine over easy). I'm telling you, these are worth every penny and more. The only negative I would say is that I wish they had a smaller pot. Like to cook 1 serving of oatmeal, or 1 can of beans. When they come out with that, this set will be PERFECT!
