Works quite well on scratches
I tried this because I hoped the adhesive layer would be thick enough to help with scratches on my screen. I also chose it because of the problems in the reviews for most of the glass screen protectors regarding the edges not working well on the curved screen of the iPhone SE 2020. I was wary of the appearance of the soft plastic non-glare surface, and the difficulty many folks complain about installation difficulties, but the other issues led me to give it a try.Starting with installation, there are pros and cons. The main pro is that you don't have to get the positioning just right the first time. You can slide it around on the screen to get good alignment. If you want, you can completely pull it up and try again. If you messed up too much, or trapped big dust particles, there are two in the box. If you really screwed things up on both of them, they say their warranty covers installation fails so call them up and they'll send you a new one.The main installation con is that if you trap any particles of dust, you'll have a bubble. Once it's there, it's not going away. They say you might want to try installing in the bathroom with the shower running to get rid of dust particles in the air. The other con is simply that as easy as they say it is to install, it's still tricky and takes some practice (hence the second protector in the box!).I watched their installation video. I struggled with the installation a bit, even pulled it completely off, re-wet, and tried it again. I got it aligned, got the edges sealed nicely, but trapped a couple of dust particles. They weren't in the main screen area, and everything else was OK so I didn't try again. That was three months ago. I definitely got the feeling that if I tried the second one it would go much easier, but that was long enough ago I will probably have forgotten everything by the time I decide to replace it with the second one! Here's what I have to say about it once installed:It's pretty amazing how well it dealt with all of the scratches on my screen. I bought the 1-year old phone used at a really good price because the screen was pretty badly scratched (my old phone broke while traveling, so I needed something right away). It looks like it was dropped on gravel and dragged about half an inch (the seller said it was from keys in his pocket one day, but the multiple parallel scratches make me wonder). There are very minor scratches on one end, progressively worsening to deep scratches at the other end. By deep I mean they catch my clumsy thick fingernails and won't let go! The screen protector completely hides the minor scratches, and filled the deep scratches completely (i.e. no air pockets). I can still see where the deep scratches are when looking at the screen at about a 60 degree angle with the phone off and enough light in the room. (By 60 degrees I mean closer to horizontal.) Over the first week or so it got better and better. By that time I could just barely feel tiny depressions in the plastic where it got sucked down into the scratches. But when I'm actually using the phone, I don't notice any of the defects unless I'm specifically looking for them. It's a pretty soft material. They say it's self healing for scratches. I think that's a fair claim. A few times I accidentally dug a fingernail into it, enough to make a mark. I don't see any of those marks now. I didn't pay close attention, but it seems that they are gone in a day or so. I carry it in my pockets (shirt and pants). I worried that might scratch the soft plastic. All I can say is that at three months, the surface looks exactly like it did on day one. It's tapered edges sealed down perfectly, and have remained so. It works perfectly with my Otterbox Symmetry case. The surface isn't super shiny/glossy like the phone's glass or the glass screen protectors. But it's not a matte finish, either (like some of the other PET plastic anti-glare screen protectors). You get some anti-glare effect, but it's much closer to glossy that matte. There's a slight orange-peel effect, but I don't notice it in regular use.I haven't noticed any compromise to the touch screen effect. When I bought the phone, I figured I would either sell it when I returned from traveling (at the same good price, or replace the screen myself with an aftermarket screen ($25 to $35 for parts). But I figured it was worth a try to see what a screen protector might do to improve things. From my perspective, it's about 80% "fixed", so I'm sticking with the original Apple screen and factory waterproof seal. (I could also install a new seal along with the screen, but I figured I would rather not open the case until I need a new battery, and currently at 91%, that'll be a while!).In summary, in my view, the screen protector meets all of the claims made by IQ shield (I didn't test them on the lifetime warranty, but reviews I read at the time I bought it suggested customer support is very good). It's probably not as good at protecting against impact/cracking as a glass one (that's just my guess, FWIW). But it's very good at protecting against scratches, and is self-healing for at least minor scratches and nicks. In my mind, the two main purchase considerations are 1) whether you are willing to put a little more work into the installation, and more importantly, 2) do you prefer hard shiny glass surface or the softer lower-luster effect of the plastic. From the many reviews I read when looking for this item, it seems most reviews tended to love or hate the way the softer plastic looks and feels. For me personally, I'm somewhere in the middle, but considering all of it's characteristics and qualities, I'm very satisfied with my decision to buy this one.

I’m officially a fan
I have used IQ Shield in the past, when I had a FitBit Sense. I now have an Apple Watch, and I stupidly waited almost a month after getting it before ordering a screen protector. Unfortunately, my watch got a pretty large scratch before I could even get these in. One of the big perks of these screen protectors is how well it will hide a scratch once you put it on. I can barely even see the scratch now, even though it was pretty deep. It will completely mask light scratches. Couple that along with protection against future scratches and IQ Shield has won me over, despite the slight difficulty applying these protectors. Maybe difficult is deceiving, because it’s not so much difficult as it is time-consuming. So, word of warning, applying these protectors requires a lot of patience as it is a wet application and you will have difficulty keeping it from sliding around while simultaneously removing the air bubbles. The very last step will be to get the edges to stick down. My advice is to get the main part centered and all air bubbles removed, and just let it sit for several minutes before even attempting to push the edges down. Instead of pressing and holding, I lightly pushed around the edges a little at a time. Don’t give up, just keep lightly pushing around the edges and they will eventually begin to stick. Once they edges are down for the most part, THEN go back around pressing harder and holding a little longer.Once you get the hang of it, it will get easier each time. And yes, eventually you will have to use the others that are included in the box, because these are means to lost forever. But for the price, you get 6, and they will last you quite a while unless you are incredibly hard on your watch.

Best out there 👍
If done well these are the best screen protectors out there! Had mine on for over a month now, no bubbles and still clear. Be patient when fitting pushing down the corners 👍

In my opinion This is not a good product
Not a user friendly product there is no three step application process! the gel screen protectors comes on a single strip that you have to peel of which is hard to do without leaving print’s on the inside.I have used gel products before and have never run into so many problems with the application, no stars
