The foam formula was a lot easier to apply than other drugstore hair dyes I've tried, and I was easily able to get it looking very even. I was pretty satisfied with the results; I have dark brown hair, and my hair came out a medium-dark rosy brown. The pink-red tint doesn't last at all though; in my experience, red hair colours have the worst longevity. It was pretty much gone within a week and my hair has more of a neutral or slightly yellowy undertone now-- this product does lighten your hair very slightly if you're starting off with dark hair, as it's meant to be used on dark hair.I was also curious whether it would even out previously unevenly-coloured hair, and yes it does! I had a streak of greenish hair from leaving on a blue toner for too long, and after using the Kao hair dye, the green had disappeared and my hair all looked uniformly coloured. I was worried that it would come back once the red colour correction had faded, but it hasn't!
