Really works
I’m very pleased with the Terro Garbage Guard. I keep our garbage bin in the garage and by the time it’s time to put it on the curb for pick up it’s full of maggots. ( Hot summer days). It’s been 2 weeks since I put the Terro Guard in the tub and I haven’t seen a maggot yet.The only thing I’ve done different with it is not attaching it with the adhesive sticker it came with. Our Garbage service picks up the bin with an arm and I was worried that it might fall off into the truck so I tied it with string to the handle so it hangs inside. So far so good. I could also get some Velcro and stick it on that way and.remove when I put it on the curb but then I might get maggots while it sits there to be picked up.

100% happy customer from Australia
Reading the previous reviews, I was a bit skeptical byuing it. But I can tell you that it works well the day I put it in. Flies are still around the bin but always ended up dying. No more maggots and bad smell. So happy.Back to buy a couple more.100% recommend this products.

Works Perfect To Keep Away Maggots And Last A Long Time
I was finding maggots in our garbage can (YUCK!) I would thoroughly clean it and they just keep showing back up. I was disgusted so I took to Google to research a solution when I came up TERRO Garbage Guard. I was already familiar with the TERRO brand as I love their ant baits so I decided to give it a try. This product works phenomenally! After putting this in my large city-issued garbage can the maggots were gone immediately. The product states it is good for 4 months however I have found it to last for 9 months to a year. I purchased two of these in August 2022 and they lasted until July of 2024, almost a year for each one.I did want to find a more permanent solution to using the garbage guard. I feel that a two-sided tape option would have resulted in losing it to the garbage collectors when it is emptied. So below is my solution to permanently installing this on my garbage can.How I installed it:*Drilled two holes in the top of the garbage can, using the product as a guideline for where the holes needed to be*Inserted screws into the holes and through the garbage guard*Secured with a wing nut (or nut). I prefer a wingnut for easier removal.Note: One thing I would have done differently is to have installed this a little closer to the front of the can for easier removal and replacement. I installed it in the middle assuming that would be the best place but it does make it a little harder to replace. The screws and wingnuts I used eventually became rusty which made it hard to get off, and trying to reach the middle of the garbage can from both sides is a little tough for one person.Pros:*Keeps maggots and flies away as promised*Lasts longer than described*Inexpensive and an easy fixI highly recommend this product if you have issues with maggots and/or flies around. your garbage can.

Very effective
Has worked wonderfully. No more maggots! Have seen lots of dead flies in bottom of can. So far, it has adhered to the lid, but it still seems like they could make the adhesive larger just to be safe. Next summer I will add some strong tape (being careful not to cover the holes) to ensure it lasts for the entire summer, unless they choose to take the suggestions of many and improve that issue.
