Great remote starter. Fairly easy install.
2023 Jeep compass. So far so good. Be sure to read the instructions thoroughly and watch both the videos. I started the night before installing the device by going onto the computer and downloading the KLON program and setting it up. The next morning I started the install. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully. I had it all installed and up and working within an hour. For the newer jeep models 22+ you dont have to open up the lower steering colomb. All you have to do is use the pry tool they provide to pop up the trim next to the start button. You dont have to take the whole trim off, just pop it up a little to be able to unhook the wire harness, and to run the new harness. Also, in yhe video it states that you hook it up to the wiring just above the gas pedal. That info is incorrect. The wiring harness is actually up above the brake pedal. Other than that. It was an easy install.

Pay attention
It works. My only problem I had was the video that instructed you HOW to hook it up. They said one of the plugs I needed to use was above the gas pedal. NOPE!!! And If you watch the video close you can see they go up and under the dash on the LEFT sided, slightly above the fuse box. Watch where they go with the camera. Other than that, it works great. I cannot stress enough that you follow the programming directions. It will NOT work if not programmed properly. It may take several times. It states this in the directions. Be patient and follow instructions exactly and you'll be fine. :-)

Don’t do it
Caused so many more problems than it created solutions. Bad product that does not play nice with jeeps at least. Would recipe d to no one.

Easy to install
Bought it for a 25 compass , little difficult to find the security gateway module to install the T- harness, other than that it was easy to install and to program at the pc... this is the third one that I bought for my cars... the 3 of then, easy to install... thanks

It worked- but not without some headaches
I finally got this kit to work on my 2018 Jeep Renegade, but only after returning the first kit. The first kit I received included a faulty USB programming device. Because the USB programming device didn't work, I wasn't able to connect the module to my computer/the weblink software so I wasn't able to complete the programing. I tried contacting RemoteStartX but they only offer an email to contact them.. I emailed them and got no response. I contacted Weblink but they told me I need to talk to RemoteStartX. Since RemoteStartX wouldn't email me back, I just retuned my kit and rebought it. This time the USB programming device worked! (oddly it was a different style of USB device) and I was able to complete the programing and now have a remote start vehicle in time for winter! If you buy this kit, don't expect any product support. You're on your own kid. I followed the YouTube video to the T and luckily my small hands came in handy reaching the connector above the pedals. For my Renegade, I had to turn my ignition on and off 8 times before the model LED flashed green.

You need to be a contortionist on 2018 and up
It took me over five hours to install because one of the plugs are way up underneath the dash and I am not a small guy nor do I have small hands but I did finally get everything plugged in and it works great. Follow the directions and you won’t have any trouble Firmware update worked well it performed just as they said it would. Video and installation manual a must read and a must view. Follow the instructions completely and thoroughly.

Jeep Renegade owners!
Installation was pretty straightforward according to the directions. The only thing to be aware of is once you get to the section where the directions tell you to push the start button to on ( not start the vehicle) until the light on the control box flashes green it takes about 8-9 time doing it for a Renegade. I think the instructions could have a side note saying some vehicles may take doing this step up to 10 times but other than getting frustrated with this step in the programming process it works great and the wife is very happy she doesn't have to get into a cold Jeep now!

longest part of install was getting a log in to the website. Slick, only one fob. Push lock 3 times
