The authors of Practical Internet of Things Security have successfully written an approachable, practical, accurate, and technically rich resource which is neither a high-level primer devoid of important details, nor an expansive, dust-collecting reference manual/tome -- instead, true to it's namesake, this resource is practical above all else, and should to well received to any IoT engineers extending a moderate to large project to incorporate key security features.Weighing in at 300 pages, it's at about the sweet spot of being approachable, and includes key treatment of IoT areas of interest which include (but are not limited to) the Security Lifecycle, Identity and Access considerations, and IoT Cloud security considerations -- additionally, the author's extensive experience in the realms of cryptography and key management are on full display throughout the work.All in all, five stars for a successful publication filling an important place in the body of knowledge around IoT.

Great read. If you don't know much about IoT, this is a great place to start.

Practical Internet of Things Security is an awesome book! I was able to easily and clearly understand the IoT lifecycle from secure design, deployment, maintenance, and response. The authors did a great job including very useful diagrams, references, and real world examples that are used throughout the book. I now have a deeper understanding of engineering a secure IoT device, but also how to test IoT devices. All aspects of IoT software security, hardware security, wireless security, and cloud security pertaining to various industry verticals are discussed. I recommend anyone who has an interest in IoT Security to pick up this book for a good read! You will not be disappointed!
