I ordered this pivot to create a hidden wall in our laundry room to cover hide the furnace and water heater. The pivot works as described. It is solidly made and easy to install. I'm still tweaking the wall to make it work as I intended. Overall useful product at a competitive price.

Open this and there are NO instructions or paperwork inside. Really? How about instructions on how to install it properly? It's not impossible to figure out, but it's not exactly your standard hinge. and of course it's going to be installed differently. You'd think the company would care, so their buyers don't wreck their doors. And more importantly, what about a template so you can properly cut out for the hinge?The hinge itself is very heavy duty and it is super solid. It works pretty smoothly. It is also good looking, but not like any one ill see it. Well made with a good fit and finish.If this came with instructions and a template, showing the company actually cares about their customers, it would be a 5 star product.It's up to you if you want to figure it out. Would not be my first choice.

According to this product's description, the package contains two (2) pieces. The box I received contained four (4) pieces divided into two separate packets.However, according to one of the photos, there should have been five (5) pieces, but my kit didn't come with a ball bearing. Without this, I don't see how a pivoting door can pivot.If this is explained in the instructions, I'll never know because the box I received didn't contain any of these either. This isn't your average everyday hinge. The manufacturers might have thought enough of their customers to at least include some sort of schematic or perhaps, a template.Because of security concerns, I'm better off running to the local hardware store to buy my second choice than I would be to leave the door unmounted while I wait a couple of days for the seller to get it right.After all, we're talking about five pieces. Not two and not four. If the manufacturer has someone on the assembly line who can't count to five, the trouble should have been figured out long before it had to be pointed out.The lack of instructions knocked this star rating down to three. But the missing part where only five parts are required knocked it all the way down to the "waste of time" category.

Great hardware and great price. No issue installing on a non solid, standard door

I'm building a secret bookshelf door and was so stoked to have found the final pieces I needed. Opening the box I was disappointed there wasn't any template or sizes or instructions of any kind. I have no idea how to use these, sure I could probably figure it out but it would take a while of trial and error.The hardware feels well made and sturdy, just wish I could install it.
