First Impressions of solar attic vent
The media could not be loaded. So far I have to admit I am impressed. I had no issue replacing my prior vent. I will install another after monitoring the results. Just to let you know the first one that I ordered from another popular company was dead on arrival so I returned it.

Huge difference works great!
We bought this bc our AC unit at the new house we bought was working non stop and barely cooling the house. The unit checked out fine, but the HVAC tech recommended a fan to help cool the attic down. This was an easy install. We did hire an electrician to add an outlet up in the attic so it will run in the evenings on the hottest nights, but the solar part works great. Our electrician was impressed and said it was running full blast while he was up there. The attic is much cooler now and the AC unit is not having to run all day and night anymore. Great purchase for what we needed.

OMNIPV CUSTOMER SERVICE IS REALLY GOOD
Had some issues with access to the screw holes to screw in, but the company has bent over backwards to ensure the fan is mounted correctly. I really appreciate it. I have it in and it works perfect. I decided to remove the rivets (easy) and lift off the top. I then screwed it to the roof and replaced the top. Then take 1-inch bolts, push from outside in with rubber washers outside and lockwashers, etc., inside, put double nuts on inside with Loctite and it works great.

Deck plate lip too low
The fan came with roof deck detached, found out that the main unit is to be mounted to the deck by screwing to the lip. Measured the lip and it is less than 1". In most situations it may be sufficient to have a lip less than 1", however, this goes to the roof and to be constantly challenged by the weather and rain. In heavy storm I suspect that the low lip will cause water leaks. Of course I can seal between the lip and supporting pipe, but this is a risk I don't want to take as seal can fail and ultimately it will fail at some point of time. This design flaw has to be addressed by design. The unit also has damages to the sides due to poor packaging. Not a big deal if there's no flaw of the design, but in this case, it has to go back where it comes from.

Great exhaust fan
This fan will turn off automatically when temp lowers. Electric on only when solar runs out at night or rainy.It's doing its job.

Excellent product
I mounted this in my metal garage at the highest point on the back wall, the solar panel I mounted on the roof with 4 magnets, I used to hear the metal creaking with the heat, not any more.
