SIMPLE AND TASTE GREAT
This is the second PUR 7 cup pitcher I've purchased. I only bought this as my first one basically was looking rather worn out, but.still filtering water just fine. After exploring other water filtering options with reviews and learning through a few acquaintances experiences with other brands and their drawbacks, decided the PUR was the simplest and most economical of the bunch and tastes great, even if you don't change the filter right away. I noticed with the new version of this pitcher is that it dribbles a little after a pour. I'm not sure why; if it is because they added a little cover flap over the pour spout which is a good thing or if it is just a poor pour spout design. However this is of little concern as the benefits out way this little flaw in my point of view. But as a side note, I also noticed it does not always dribble, if you pour it just right., who knew there is a right and wrong way to pour?

Easy to view water reservoir and looks good
I use this Pur 7 cup for filling my Keurig coffee maker upstairs. It is easy to pour from and see how much water is in the reservoir and easy to fill. There are lights on the top of the pitcher that tell you when to change out the filter. I found that using filtered water extends the life of my Keurigs so I have a Pur pitcher in the kitchen as well as this one upstairs.

More effective than Brita
This pitcher does a good job, better than our Btita, and the taste is good. We especially liked it's ability to filter most lead! Only complaint is that it filters very slowly and has a smaller pre-fill tank, so you have to be patient.

Great product
One note to pass along, there are at least two different water filter replacements. The one that removes the metals is slightly higher in cost. Still far more affordable then some!Purchased as an alternative to the water filters used in the office coffee machine. They are way over priced. Product reviews showed the Pur shoulder to shoulder (Or in a lot of cases, a head) of the competition, but the filter replacement cost, for me, pulled them a head.Product received quickly as described.

Buyer beware
Update: I downgraded my review to one star and would give zero stars if possible. The replacement cartridge I received worked for approximately two weeks, and then I encountered the same problem. I live in a city with exemplary, municipal water, so contaminants are not a problem. I followed the directions to the letter, but to no avail. In addition, Customer Service claims filtering a full 11 cup filter should take 20 minutes when in fact it takes closer to an hour. I would strongly suggest not purchasing this product, particularly given the price. I am now stuck with over $100 of a pitcher and filters that are completely useless.I purchased this to replace a Brita Stream pitcher whose filters were virtually impossible to remove without an implement of some sort. Although the Pur pitcher provides superior tasting water vs. the Brita, it is ludicrously slow filling. It was so exasperating that I actually timed in the next fill and it took 91 minutes from start to finish which is ridiculous and unacceptable.I contacted Pur who claimed it should take no more than 20 minutes to filter a pitcher of water…in their dreams. I switched out the filter which did significantly improve the flow but it still took longer than claimed. While it makes sense that superior filtering will take longer, Pur should be truthful about the timing.

I want to love this pitcher . . .
I bought the Pur pitcher because of its superior water filtering. I bought it to replace a round Brita pitcher I'd had for years. It looks beautiful. It has good capacity. But it is a poor design compared to the Brita. You add water to the top, the water goes through the bottom of the pitcher. But if there is any unfiltered water in the top -- and you pour it -- the unfiltered water comes out. Also the top falls off. I have learned to wait until the water TOTALLY filters through before pouring -- and to hold my hand on the top so the lid doesn't fall off. The water tastes great. Thanks.

no threads
There are no threads on the unit for the filter to screw into. I have to use duct tape. I'm pleased with the filtering process and the button on top that I can push to see when it's time for a new filter.

It does the job.
Built pretty good. Changing out the filter is easy. The blinky light tells you when to change the filter.

Taste the difference
Great filter. Only issue I have with it is that it takes forever to fill up. Other than that, you can taste the difference. The filtered water is a lot lighter and softer compared to the tap water in my house which has a heavy feeling to it when you drink it.

Buen funcionamiento
Muy buenos resultados en filtrado de agua. Queda cristalina y sin sabores particulares, tarda relativamente poco en filtrar y fácil de usar.No tengo manera de revisar la filtración de lo que prometen, sin embargo las certificaciones parecen avalarlo.

Great taste, but broken flap.
Really happy with the pitcher. The flap on the top broke shortly after using it, but over all it makes the water taste great.

Filtros caros y difíciles de encontrar
La jarra es de buen material, funciona muy bien, pero el filtro le dura menos de dos meses, son caros y solo hay importados.

quite good with the exception of the lid
as others mentioned in their reviews, the lid is kind of annoying until you get used to put your hand on it while pouring the water.but besides the lid issue, it is really nice and useful
