Here’s a detailed look at what this camera has to offer.Design & BuildThe REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera features a modern, sleek design that blends well with various home exteriors. Its compact and robust build ensures durability while maintaining a discreet profile. The camera’s weatherproof casing makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, standing up well to the elements without compromising its performance.PerformanceThe camera’s 4K resolution delivers exceptionally clear and detailed footage, allowing you to capture every detail with stunning clarity. This high-definition quality is particularly beneficial for identifying faces, license plates, or any fine details within the camera’s view. The ultra-wide-angle lens is a standout feature, offering a broad 122-degree field of view. This wide angle significantly reduces blind spots and ensures that a large area is covered with a single camera, which can be especially useful for monitoring large spaces or capturing expansive outdoor views.WiFi ConnectivityThe REOLINK 4K Camera’s WiFi connectivity is reliable and straightforward to set up. The camera integrates seamlessly with the REOLINK app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. The app provides real-time viewing, motion detection alerts, and easy access to recorded footage, making remote monitoring a breeze. While the WiFi connection generally provides stable performance, it’s worth noting that the quality of the signal can be affected by the distance from your router or any obstructions. For optimal performance, placing the camera within range of a strong WiFi signal is recommended.FeaturesNight Vision: The camera is equipped with advanced infrared LEDs that offer impressive night vision capabilities. It provides clear images even in complete darkness, which is crucial for 24/7 surveillance.Two-Way Audio: The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way communication, allowing you to listen and speak through the camera. This feature is particularly useful for interacting with visitors or deterring potential intruders.Motion Detection: The motion detection function is highly customizable, allowing you to set specific zones and sensitivity levels. Alerts are promptly sent to your phone whenever motion is detected, ensuring you’re always informed of any activity.Storage Options: The camera supports microSD cards (up to 128GB) for local storage, providing a cost-effective way to save footage without recurring fees. It also offers cloud storage options for those who prefer an off-site backup.Ease of UseSetting up the REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera is straightforward thanks to the intuitive app and clear instructions provided. The camera’s user interface is easy to navigate, and features like live view, playback, and settings adjustments are accessible with just a few taps.DurabilityThe camera’s build quality is robust, with weatherproofing that ensures it can handle various environmental conditions. Its durable design makes it a reliable choice for long-term use, whether installed indoors or exposed to outdoor elements.DrawbacksWhile the REOLINK 4K WiFi Security Camera is a strong performer overall, it does have a few minor drawbacks:WiFi Dependence: The camera’s performance is dependent on a stable WiFi connection. Users in areas with weak WiFi signals might experience connectivity issues.Limited PTZ Functionality: Unlike some other high-end security cameras, this model does not offer pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities, which can be a limitation if you need to cover multiple areas with a single camera.

Pretty good for the price
Updated after 2 months: Still good. Solid wireless connectivity and great day & night video. Just ordered my 2nd one!I've probably had 15 IP cameras covering all price ranges over the past couple decades. For the price, this camera has a lot going for it:+ Great picture quality day and night, sharp picture and good dynamic range for the price range+ Above average wifi connectivity health, no drops, strong signal+ Decent and easy camera config/menus, firmware, software+ A combined super-wide image that looks great, very useful for home security with fewer cameras+ Works well with Blue Iris+ A cool color night spotlight feature that you can activate by schedule or by people or vehicle detection. Not as good as Hikvision ColorVu vision which costs more, but this camera does have a smart implementation that can help startle any mischievous intruders. What I don't like is the mounting hardware isn't very robust. Easy for someone to swipe and break the camera right off the wall with one hand. Basically cheap plastic as reported in another review here. A metal mount would have been much better. It's a shame Reolink cheaped out on this component, especially if your camera will be mounted where people can get access to it.

Lose remote access to the cameras - must reset camera to fix.
I have purchased several of these cameras because I like the wide angle view. The problem with these cameras are for unknown reasons remote access to the camera will be lost. The REOLINK app will not be able to connect. The only way I have been able to fix this is uninstall the camera from its location on the house, bring it inside, resent the camera to factory defaults and configure it again by connecting it, via ethernet cable to the router. Then I have to reinstall the camera on the house and repeat this again weeks later when it happens again. This has happened on two of three of the Duo cameras. My WIFI network is based on Netgear Orbi's and the signal strength is strong so that is not the issue. If it were not for this issue that others have also reported these would be decent WIFI cameras.
