Very nice mainboard!
Works like described with a lot of features. Perfect for a small server that needs the itx form factor.

Perfect for my build!!
Replaced my Asus Rog Strix z690i gaming which give me lots of problem after 5months of use, and leave me with 1 dead memory socket and constant freezing and restart. With this new board so far everything is working as it should be, I did a few stress test on cpu, RAM and system and the all pass. So 5 stars for now, I will update if something goes wrong..

Great Motherboard!!!
Top notch for ddr4 and pcei 5 tech, very capable MB and the bios they have designed is very user friendly! The ONLY ISSUE AT ALL was the ram needs to really be firmly seated, we re-seated the RAM modules 6 time before finally everything worked. When buying this Asrock Extreme just keep in mine this motherboard likes the ram to literally be FORCED in (make sure you have your modules in the right direction) other then that this is 5 stars forsure.

Never had so many issues with a Board
Bad boards did not exist in my reality until I had the misfortune of receiving this piece of junk.First off it gives me DRAM and VGA errors. DRAM is good in other board, VGA is though good GPU.Decide to go thru the APU via the mobo hdmi. It works, but now how to get GPU to work?Upgrade bios? Ok, make USB with creative file name with latest version for this mobo.Go into bios, USB is nowhere to be seen? How does Bios not see the USB? Try it with another USB.....nothingSo I am forced to "flash" with the mobo turned off? GrossI do this, and then no more boot, throws DRAM errorI remove the battery, jumper the cmosNo boot.DO IT AGAIN BUT JUMPER FOR SOLID 1 MINUTE.......NO BOOTBrick?Ordered another board, SUCCESS on first try lolMaybe I just got a bad product, poor quality control, Never Asrock again

Great motherboard
I first canceled the order after rechecking the buy line for this Motherboard, but it was too late to cancel. The write up heading said it's a 1500 something CPU and a 1700 was compatible. So, I waited for the order to come in thinking I would send it back. It arrived that day. After I checked it out. I discovered it was a 1700 pin Intel board after all. GLAD I kept it. It was a better performer than the MSI board I had earlier. Faster too.

Sorta works well, and sorta has issues, but TECH support is non-existant to be honest
I got this board to replace/rebuild my old system that was having issues -My original PC was:- Intel i7 10700K- EVGA z490 Dark Motherboard- 2 EVGA 2080 SC Dark Video cards in SLI- 2 Crucial 256mb NVMe drives in Raid 1- 64mb of G.Skill Ripjaw memoryWhat I upgraded to was:- Intel Core i9-12900K- ASRock z690 Extreme motherboard- PNY XLR8 RTX 4080 Super video card- 2 Silicon Power 512GB NVMe in Raid 1- 128 gbs of G.Skill Ripjaw memory.-Updated (see below for original review)So Tech support finally got back with me a week after I initially emailed them, and their request was for me to RMA my "brand new motherboard", that I've had exactly 6 days before I emailed them to say that the board wasn't working properly and that I couldn't get my CD\DVD-Rom drives to work properly. So I gave up.I just ordered this card from Amazon - ELUTENG PCIE SATA 2 Port Expansion Card (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R9P2K8T?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) and used this to replace the malfunctioning SATA ports so that I have working DVD drives. There is no way that I can send off this board that is in my main PC, that I do all my work on, for an untold amount of weeks, just on the outside chance this gets fixed. I would have no PC at all while I waited on this for this. And the fact that I got such "generic" response that had exactly "nothing" to do with my issue, doesn't fill my with confidence that they will fix the issue. And why should they need to do this for a brand new motherboard?!?This is very disappointing for a new system board to have these below issue from day one. Hopefully others will have better fortune than I did with this company.- Original Review:I use the system for gaming, video encoding, running multiple virtual PC sessions, and some audio, and sometime I do variations of this at the same time, and "so far" the PC has been running with no issues. But one of the issues I have is that I have one "4tb Data drive" and two SATA DVD drives (one Blu Ray and one Lightscribe DVD+R drive)The issue is that the Blu Ray Drive appears about 90-95% of the time on reboots. Sometimes I have to reboot the system to get the drive to show up, but for the most part it always shows up.But the Lightscribe drive shows up about 10-15% of the time. I often have to put a CD in the drive, let the system boot, and then remove the CD "if the motherboard recognized" the Lightscribe drive during it's bootNow I have switched the drives around, and as long as the Lightscribe drive is the "only" drive in the system, it is seen just fine. But if I add back in the other drive, it goes back to ignoring the Lightscribe drive again no matter what port it's plugged into.Setting up the RAID was a nightmare because you have to make changes in the system and them reboot the system, and then go back into the BIOS each and every time.So if you need to change 4 elements, you have to change one element first, reboot the system, then go back into the BIOS, change the next element, reboot the system, then go back into BIOS, etc, etc, etc.For example: I tried to make four needed changes in the BIOS for the RAID setup to work all at once. But the system "refused" to see the RAID setup or give me the option to enable it (meaning showing the option for the Intel Raid controller so I could setup the drives) until I did this. And once I did these tedious steps, I could then create a raid drive.I only found this on a forum page after a couple days of searching around to see if others had this issue. But this was "no where" to be found on the ASRock website, in the manual, or found in any videos I could from them. When I emailed TECH support about the DVD drive issues (Couldn't find a number to call them), I got just "one" email telling me that if I had a 2nd M.2 drive in use then SATA port 3_7 was disabled. It was a screenshot from the user's manual on the options of this board.Great, except I wasn't even using port 3_7 at all.I was using 3_0, 3_3, and 3_5. I switched to 3_0, 3_1, and 3_2 (this is how ASRock designates their SATA ports instead of 0-7) but it made no differences because when I responded to ASRock's support email on Monday, and this point just over a week later I "STILL" have no answer to what to do from them.I guess I've stumped the motherboard manufacture as well with my issueSo, if you do just "basic" stuff with the board, the ASRock z690 extreme board appears to be fine."But"If you want to take advantage of some of the more "extreme" options said to be offered by this board, then you're hosed unless you can find a 3rd party YouTube video or forum post telling you "exactly" what to do, because nothing is straight forward, and because the tech support at ASRock is basically non-existent and DOA.

Preis / Leistung

can't beat amazon on customer experience
i had bought this board on offer . however, when i built my pc there was a problem , the m2-1 drive wasn't being recognised . i contacted asrock and had a brilliant connection with a guy from holland . basically , it could be the wd drive sn850x or the board or the cpu i7 14th gen ,i purchased another 1TB drive, a sabrent to see if it was just the wd drive. It didnt work, he advised sending back the board. i returned the board and amazon said that i was entitled to a refund and repurchase , however, the board had gone up 70£ so i explained to amazon that i just wanted a replacement , this couldn't be done, but a work around they gave me a 70£ voucher , very generous. i repurchased the board . i can say it is brill. i installed two nvrme drives pci4. i copied a 5GB disk over by usb ,old usb drive, 5mins! , compared to 30mins on laptop ,then copied the same files between the two nvrme drives , it took less than 1 second!!!!i haven't filled in the gaming because i can't comment on that but as mb it is rapid
