I threw my paddle board on my roof one too many times. I heard it snap. The bolt broke inside the roof mount. $50 minimum and all the hassles if I went to a dealership for a replacement. I consulted YouTube and easy and simple answer was left handed drill bits. These were the most reasonably priced left handed bits I could find anywhere including Harbor Freight supprisingly. Plus these come with easy outs. I didn't get to use mine yet. My antenna base screw came right out as I was drilling into it, Now I have a set if this or something similar should happen in the future. The case is steel and will out survive me.

The bit holder was bent and made the bit circle instead of spin, the drill did not work on the screw. I used my drill to hold the bit when I tried to drill, but it would not bite into the screw but did help slightly to make it easier to use the drill bit that did work. I ended up using a titanium coated drill bit to make a hole in the screw and then use pliers to seat the reverse bit in the hole I made and THAT WORKED!

Let's be frank here, if you're looking for screw removers, you've already got yourself in a bind. These are cheap, simple, and most importantly, effective. They look cheap, but even after using them, mine show no wear whatsoever. The storage container IS cheap, but it works well and releases the bits easily when needed. In this case, cheap doesn't mean poorly made, it means low price. The only thing that is annoying to me is that the storage container requires a coin, screwdriver, or some other sturdy thin object to pop it open. Not that big a deal, but I might just cut it off and add a magnetic clip or something. Your mileage may vary. Great product though. Saved me quite a bit of trouble.

I was trying to disassemble a deck that had star head screws. The extractor drill bits were dull and the extractor bits themselves were so poorly designed they broke/sheared within minutes. I went to Home Depot and bought a better set that did the job.

Improved build quality, clearer instructions, and a sturdier feel to the tools would significantly enhance its overall value.

I needed to remove a calcified 4/40 Allen set screw from a faucet handle. The screw size was too small for the sets I could find in a brick-and-mortar store. The extractor #8 did a great job, took the set screw out nicely and cleanly! A word of warning, though. The included bit holder/extender is either bent or out of alignment, so it couldn't be used. I used one I had with my hand drill.

Had a stripped set screw I needed to remove. The bit set worked well and pulled it out without any trouble. The only negative I would put is that there are no instructions included. So, if you've never used a screw extractor before, you need to just know that you have to run the drill in reverse otherwise the bit will not work.

Bra dimensioner för de mindre problemen, men tyvärr med kvalitétsproblem. Jag köpte denna sats enkom för att hantera en trasig skruv i ett viktig och dyr mekanism. Jag fick glädjande nog loss aktuell skuv, men den bits som nyttjades kommer tyvärr inte kunna återanvändas då 75% av gängorna snabbt nöttes bort. Materialet är av dålig kvalitet och jag skulle gärna betala det dubbla för en sats som var möjlig att återanvända. Tyvärr verkar samtliga tillgängliga satser med dessa dimensioner som Amazon tillhandahåller vara tillverkade i alltför mjuk legering i Kina.

Verkade som borren blivit slipade som vanliga borr, men efter en om slipning så fungerar dom perfekt.
