Decorative, slightly costly, was not sealed
The salt looks nice and we will have on the table for Easter. As for taste, it is salt. My daughter swears it tastes different (better) than iodized salt, but she must have a better palate. Crystals are a nice size as well.Color is provided by red clay, something I have not seen it listed on salts from other regions - this did not affect the taste. My only concern is that the package delivered was not sealed, so some was on the inside of the box. It seems from the design of the bag you would tear it open, but that was not required.

Pretty pink and salty
I ordered the Hawaiian Pink Sea Salt for a tastier salt experience. This salt comes in a resealable bag that is clearly printed with the origin and ingredients on the back. The salt is coarse, but not large. The granules work great in anything it's applied to. I thought it was interesting that this is a mixture of sea salt and Red Alaea, which is a Hawaiian clay. I found the clay doesn't affect the flavor, just the presentation. The salt tastes better than your typical table salt and looks nice in a bowl on the table. I recommend this salt!

I’m a big fan of this pink salt
The media could not be loaded. Review of: Marky’s Hawaiian Pink Sea Salt Coarse 100% Natural - 1 lb / 454 gI’ve tried a number of sea salts over the years, including Himalayan salt from Pakistan, but I’ve never tried a ‘Hawaiian’ version of pink sea salt. And, after using the Marky’s Hawaiian salt many, many times now, I actually prefer the taste of the Hawaiian Pink Salt over the taste of most, if not all, of the Himalayan versions. And, for me, the quality of this salt is far above any ‘table salt’ that I’ve tried before. To my eye, the Hawaiian Sea Salt is a slight darker color, slightly more red color when compared to other Himalayan types of salt; which I did expect since the Hawaiian product is mixed with red alaea clay to produce the tint.As a plus, when sprinkled on top of food, I’ve found that the darker/richer color of the Hawaiian salt does stand out really nicely. From a texture standpoint, the Marky’s salt has, on average, larger/more coarse grains of salt that produces the ‘crunch’ the mouth-feel that I really appreciate having in a good quality salt. For the ‘taste’, I’ve found that the Marky’s version does give off a very powerful, very noticeable salt flavor. I my taste tests I’ve never found anything mild or ‘hidden’ about the salt flavor from the product. The bottom-line for me is that this pink salt tastes exactly the way I expect salt to taste. Just a slight pinch of this sea salt outshines the salt taste that is produced by much larger portions of regular table salt.

Light Salt Flavor
This is the first Hawaiian pink salt that I have ever tried so I don't really have anything to compare it to .I normally just use regular sea salt. This Hawaiian pink salt comes in a resealable bag but I will probably transfer it to a bottle. I like the coarseness of this salt because I can tell exactly how much I am using. I would say this is a much lighter salty flavor than the regular sea salt I use and it just has a different flavor that I can't really explain but I do like it alot. I would be interested in purchasing the Hawaiian pink salt again and would definitely have to look at prices to compare.

Beautiful color
I need to watch my sodium levels because I have low blood pressure and if I don’t get enough sodium intake I can get very tired and dizzy. I love trying new and different types of salt. The color of this Hawaiian Pink is a very light pink. It is coarse and chunky but not overly so. It finishes a dish beautifully. It is especially noteworthy rimming a margarita glass. It goes well with all sorts of cocktails fruity and citrus and can even shine in a spicy cocktail.I also put some of this salt in a grinder so that I can also enjoy a finer version of it if I want to salt some eggs, tomatoes, or avocados. The bag seal is strong and holds together well for storage.

Good Pink Himalayan Salt
The salt itself is really good and adds a lot of flavor so your foods of choice. The price is not as good as others but it is still worth the money for 1lb. You would have to make that decision yourself if it's worth it or not but just know that it is high quality and does taste good on your food.
