Green Mountain GrillDavy Crockett Pellet Grill Package, Cover and Tote Included - WiFi Enabled

I’ve been using it for about a month now. I’ve smoked a few chickens, two legs of lamb and a couple steaks which I finished on my BBQ just to add more color. All in all it works great and all of the food has turned out well. I would give two words of caution. First, don’t rely too heavily on the food temp probe. None of them are as accurate as an instant read thermometer. I use the probe to get to the ball park then use an instant read for the final finsh. Secondly, the smartphone app is cool, but when my iPhone goes to sleep it drops the wifi connection to the Grill. It doesn’t affect the actual settings on the grill its self, but you don’t hear the temp notifications until you wake the phone back up. Its not a set and forget process, you still need to keep an eye on things.Bottom line, I love this grill. I have been using it at home to get used to it. In Mid-Dec we’ll leave Utah and head to Arizona for the winter in the RV. Thats really why I bought this unit. The portability is a real plus. It’s a well built smoker in a small package. It could be a bit taller so beer can chickens fit better, but I made do.

This thing is a beast! It's been about a month now and I've cooked everything from chicken to salmon to pulled pork and just did 2 t-bones tonight that were perfect. Great for 2-3 or 4 people if they aren't too hungry. I haven't seen any big temp fluctuations and the wifi works great once its connected to the home wifi. The auger noise is a bit loud in the beginning but you get over it quick with the quality of food

We are thrilled to have this grill!This is our 3rd GREEN MOUNTAIN PELLET GRILL. First was the Davy Crockett. We bought it because we wanted a grill to travel with us. It was perfect. Beautiful Smokey goodness. We decided to stop our travels after 5 years and once again buy a house. So we bought the Daniel Boone since we had so much more space and sold the original grill. We were never as happy with the DB as we had been. We adjusted and recalculated for almost a year but could not get the same results. So it’s back to the Davy Crockett !

Liked the size, perfect for two of us. Temp. gauge a at times will fluctuate 20 to 25 degrees. Not sure why.

I have used this product twice. I very much like the grill for its versatility in being able to easily transported to bring along camping. For its size it has a good amount of cooking space. That’s the main reason for buying was it had more grilling space than the Traeger scout. Concerns would be that there is a hot spot in the middle right of the grill and there isn’t any on my Traeger pro series 22. I’m sure with more experience it will be no big deal. I am also concerned with the auger motor as it is a bit noisy when augering pellets to the firebox. The sound doesn’t really bother me, I just hope it’s not a sign that it’s cheap and going to wear out. I will have my mind made up on this grill when I make my first meal of ribs this weekend. What impresses me the most right now is that the grill maintains its temperature very close to the setting. You set it at 275 degrees, it’s stays very close to that(usually within 5 degrees). My Traeger doesn’t stay that close.

Purchased to take on camping trips. Had a lot of people stop by the campsite to ask about it. Does a wonderful job. The only compliant is how heavy this is. It is great that it comes with a carrying bag, but boy is it heavy to carry.

I love GMG products. This is my second smoker, I also own a Daniel Boone Wifi. Having said that, very dissapointed with this seller. Shipped fast. Shipped it ahead to my destination for a fishing trip. Arrived to find it dented in in the back of the pellet hopper. Wasn't double boxed when shipped. Also had a problem with smoker after burn in. First cook the thing wouldn't start. Had to open up the control board, redo all connections and also found the ground wire to the auger wasn't connected - presumably from the poor shipping job. Works now but it's a major issue when you're in the middle of nowhere with 3 sets of ribs ready to go and no way to cook them.Also, the cover they send with it is a JOKE. It doesn't fit for anything, super loose. I've seen the GMG covers and they are WAY WAY better, better quality and fit better.

It's hard to rate this grill, because ours was defective, its was very heavy, take two people to move it, not really portable. Our son had purchased one with no issues, which is why we purchased ours. Then our friend purchased one after we did, haven't heard if they've had any problems..we did have to buy another grill for family get together on 4th of July, but seller did refund our full purchase price..be sure to check out they're return policy..
