A good solution
This fit our shower perfectly. Mine came with a gasket that seemed to be a rubberized cork. This one rotates to turn on/off and adjust temp. It replaced one that tilted for on/off and rotated a small amount for hot/cold. I think this one will let our handle last much longer due to the reduced stress during on/off operation. My wife and I are happy.What I was told at a plumbing supply store is that this faucet and replacement parts are discontinued by the original manufacturer. This aftermarket valve works well for us.

The connecting part snapped right off during installation. Not made of quality metal.

Too CHEAP or just Too STUPID to include a gasket
I can’t believe this was shipped out with no gasket!!!If it wasn’t included in the purchase it should have been suggested like the other repair items I’ve ordered off of Amazon at check out.I had to use silicon then wait over an hour to form a gasket before installing it..The valve itself was satisfactory!

Improved Design
This unit replaces the original cartridge with an exact fit for the housing but with a more modern mechanism. Works more easily than the original and installs directly. White plastic piece from the original is eliminated.

No gasket, no screws
This product does not include a gasket or screws, even though it is clearly pictured with screws. It is unusable without the gasket, and to the best of my determination, this seller does not sell the compatible gasket separately. I have to return it.
