1. The mechanism and cylinder on the bug a salt shred and the crosman vigilante are the same. This works in both. Both are good quality. 2. When empty, this fits the standard .177 pellets, and is way cheaper than buying them seperate for the crosman. (do not put pellets in your bug-a-salt, it will break, possibly hurting yourself) 3. The salt in these is super fine. I would prefer thicker grains, but it might break skin/mar walls if you are not careful. 4. They can be reloaded using tissue paper and a glue stick, rolling papers, or even thin newspaper and table salt. 5. Reminder this is salt! Do not shoot it where it can come back in your eyes! Also avoid cars, electronics, etc., as this will speed up corrosion. This is also true with the crosman barrel so keep it clean, even if just shooting a q-tip or blanks to clear the rifiling. The paper bits can also blow around. Not a big mess or anything but worth noting. Bonus Tip: Put some grease or oil on your co2 cartridge tip before inserting. This can help them seal and not leak, and the puncture rod to stay sharp. I use a light dab of silicone SuperLube, as it is non-toxic and won't stain if some is ejected, although I have not noticed this happening. I have had mine sit for a week between shots with plenty of power.
