Is this an oily leave-in?

You do have to be careful not to apply to your roots, if you apply too much it will make your hair look oily. I would recommend this product for those with dry hair.

Can this be used on natural African American hair?

Yes, in fact it was designed for naturally kinky hair. Have used this product for years, all the great Dominican salons in New York use it exclusively.

Yes. The product Salerm 21 B5 Silk Protein is in fact the same as the Salerm 21 Leave in Conditioner. The product comes in Cream and Lotion form. The bottle is a lotion, which is a lighter version of the product and the tube is a cream, which is a thicker version.
