Worth every penny
A safety plus. No more hobbling hopping trying to hang on and balance using one hand and washing with the other. Replaces a wobbly stool that always was a tippy trip. Installation does require mounting to a secure location on the shower wall so I had installation done by a professional shower installation person. Worth it.

Buyer Beware!
Like other customers, we purchased this seat while remodeling our shower and did not install it for about a month and a half. It has been used for about 3 months now and like the others, the coating is peeling off. As I went back and reread the product info, one place states it is "teak wood", and in another description it says made of "oak and stainless steel". As most folks know, oak is not a suitable wood product to expose to water routinely. So now that the warranty has expired I have two choices; I can order a different unit, but that means 6 more holes in the shower wall. Option two is to find some actual teak lumber and fabricate new slats that could be oiled with teak oil periodically. Not sure which way I will follow, but I would not recommend this product if it is going to be exposed to water. Too bad Amazon choses to support products that offer conflicting information as to what they are actually made of, which determines their usefulness, or in this case a complete lack of usefulness.

Screws & Anchors are not rated properly for seat sustainability.
Seat accommodates up to 400 Lbs., however the anchors & screws DO NOT. My contractor had to purchase correct sizeof anchors & screws which were larger in diameter to support the seat. I was charged extra for these anchors & screws.

The fasteners provided are not water proof
Because they were not they rusted and bled on our new shower walls
