better than I expected
I bought the Bench Dog push stick for use on my table saw after a close friend had lost part of two fingers in an accident on his table saw. I have since used it to cut wide and narrow parts with great ease. I really like the device. The non-slip material on the bottom makes it very easy to control both feed and position. The handle is in a great position allowing positive control without getting in the way of my saws blade gaurd. I wasn't sure about buying a piece of plastic for such an important use but I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is. I know I'll get many years of good use and protection.I've also found it very useful on my router table, another one of those devices that could mame you if you lose focus.

Great tool for safe sawing
I purchased this offset push stick in 2009 and here in 2020 I still use it nearly any time I'm using my saw for smaller pieces. Throughout the years I've taken a nick or two out of it but I much prefer the slim profile of this over some of the wider ones. Additionally, the offset makes it very easy to see what you're doing. Really can't recommend this enough for someone looking for a way to safely move material through a saw blade.

very good push stick, worthless base
Maybe it's just me, but I found no use for the base. I can see why someone would design a set like this, it sounds good in theory, but the fact of the matter is that when I am cutting wood, I only need the stick, and once I am done, I don't need this wobbly storage for either pencil or tape. Stick is really good, though I am sure there are others on the market, or the one you made yourself that serves the same purpose. Again, don't get me wrong, this is a well made product, I just doubt you will use "docking station" all that much, so think whether the push stick is worth your money. That's why I gave it 4 stars only.

Great push stick
I really like this push stick. It makes my operations feel safer and more stable than a standard push stick. With the grippy bottom I can even apply pressure inward towards the fence, while pushing through the cut. I do feel a little bit of deflection during use, and I wish it was a little thicker for that reason, but overall I like it. I didn’t try to use the base so I can’t comment on that.

Great design and functionality however....
***Update***I have been using this push stick for nearly 6 years to safely rip narrow strips on occasion with no issues other than the flex mentioned in my previous review however while ripping one recently the handle just snapped off with no warning (I always do a check for damage before using safety items like this just in case and saw no cracks etc). Luckily I always use a custom blade guard with a splitter even with this push stick and both did their job of avoiding kickback from a now uncontrolled workpiece as well as keeping my hand from possibly contacting an exposed blade.***This is my favorite push stick by far mainly due to the offset handle that allows ripping narrow strips safely with my blade guard in place. The rubber strip on the bottom in conjunction with the tab at the rear allows excellent control of the workpiece however it does flex a bit during use with heavy pressure (I have not found this to be an issue). The docking station provided is great for keeping it close at hand and I used industrial strength Velcro to keep it secure on top of the fence while still making it easy to remove in case you need to clamp on a sacrificial fence etc.

The best push stick I have found for ripping narrow stock on a table saw.
Ideal for ripping narrow stock between the blade and rip fence of a table saw all while keeping your left hand offset over the fence away from the blade.

Design
Noticed it being used by YouTube woodworking coaches. Drawn to the offset handle. Works well on both router tables and tablesaw.
