Rick Steves Berlin (Travel Guide)

A great and informative book about Berlin. Well worth a read!

This book is seriously so good. I’m in my 30’s and just spent a week in Berlin and wanted to see and do as much as possible - Berlin is pretty big, so I initially felt a bit overwhelmed and unsure what to do. This book is seriously gold!! So many different “self-tours” and they’re laid out sooo well and easy to follow, with lots of little stories and bits of history shared in the book (that you don’t simply get from just walking around and seeing the areas). I have never been a tour guide book kind of person and I’m not sure what compelled me to buy one on this trip, other than that it was a bit of a last minute trip and I hoped it would help…. But really I am so happy. 10/10 reccomend.

Rick Steve's travel are absolutey the best! They are kept up to date, are easy toe read and provide lots of valuable informatioin. We have used them for about 25 years, and we still get a new version if we are travelig to a country that we visited 15 or 20 years ago. Valuable and dependabloe information about restuarents and hotel is extremely helpful for persons planning on traveling on their own rather than with a tour group. We recommend Rick Steve's Travel book. If you wish, you can check them out in the libratry before you purchase.

We are going to Berlin in 2026 and have found the Rick Steves books incredibly useful for Rome, Paris and London. We expect the same for this book on Berlin. I was last there 53 years ago.

A MUST when traveling to Europe. His books have saved me from traffic violations many times, especially if your driving in countries such as Italy. I have confidently booked and enjoyed every hostel and restaurant recommended. I feel secure and safe with all his recommendations. I don’t travel with it, even if I’ve traveled to the country before.

As always, detailed, practical, interesting and budget oriented. Always a winner.
