Worth the cost and the time to set up
This machine is not plug and play. When it first arrived it was coated with a layer of oil to prevent rusting, to remove the layer of oil you need to dismantle the Lathe which gives you time to inspect the various parts for damage in shipping and make adjustments as needed. Nearly all of the parts needed adjustment as they are not calibrated at the factory so you will need some measuring equipment to align parts. It took me some time to get it set up right and at times was tedious. Once setup though I've had no issues with mine for 4 months now. The 1100W motor is powerful, more than enough for most metals and only on some hardened steels did I need to increase the RPM (It's a DC motor which needs more RPM for more torque). To get the best from this machine you have to take small cuts and be patient, you can't take 2mm cuts in mild steel and get a good surface finish. I usually take .25 or .5 mm cuts with the feed set as slow as possible, this leaves me with a surface finish like glass. The only criticisms are the panels on the front of the machine. The labels were lifting up in the corner from the protective layer which required me to remove the panel (4 screws in each panel) where I found the edges of the panels really needed to be de-burred. Some of the panels had very sharp corners but after a quick run around the edges with my Dremel were much better, I then glued the labels back down. Price wise it's not the cheapest and you can get bigger for around the same money used, but if you have limited space and want a lathe bigger than the usual 7 x 14 then I would highly recommend picking one of these up

Complete order
One of the change gears No 72 mx is missing so can't produce m8 x 1.25 pitch threads. Otherwise ok for DIY use.
