To fix this, I recommend removing the water tank and washing it thoroughly with dishwashing liquid or soap before your first use. Also, it helps to run a full tank of water through the machine before making your first cup. After that, the plastic taste completely disappears.One minor drawback is that the frother handle is a bit short. I had to purchase a smaller milk pitcher to suit the frother. A slightly longer frother would have made it perfect, especially for making one or two cups at a time without needing a large pitcher.Cleaning the machine is super easy, and the design is intuitive. I've consistently been able to brew great coffee, and I’m confident I’ll soon find the perfect balance for my lattes and cappuccinos.A special mention to Ms. Mampi Roy for the excellent virtual demo. Even though it was online, she thoroughly explained all the precautions, usage tips, and cleaning procedures.
