SAFAVIEH Soho Collection 5' x 8' Purple / Beige SOH841B Handmade Premium Wool & Viscose Area Rug

I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with this rug. I've searched and searched for a rug for months, for my bedroom. I really thought I would have to find something else, as similar as I could. My inspiration pic is from Carrie's apartment in the Sex and the City movie (I've attached a picture, for comparison). Then I found this from Safavieh, who I've bought rugs from before. The original rug in the movie is $7,000 (yes I found the designer's site). When I finally found this rug for $208 (no tax or shipping), I couldn't buy it fast enough. With gift cards, I paid $17.The rug is 100% wool. It's a thick pile, really thick, and is very, very cushiony when you walk on it. The pile is probably a good half inch thick. It would not need a cushion pad, but it does need a non-skid pad. Mine is on a hardwood floor, and it moves a bit. The color is listed as purple, but I would moreover say it's a dark plum wine. Not too red, but not too blue either. It's not super dark like blood red, either. But the color is rich. The beige isn't the average boring tan you'd expect. It's just enough to it muted the rug overall, without a glaring white contrast. It's 5 x 7.5, and I couldn't love it more.

The colors are more muted than in the picture, there not much contrast between the cream and the yellow. Overall this was not as bright and cheerful as I was looking for so had to return it. For the price, the thickness and quality is great and if you looking to use this against a dark floor it might work well.

The media could not be loaded.  The carpet is beautiful but it is not good especially for those who has asthma.I hope they can replace my carpet.I did not know that it will be like this.

The rug is gorgeous just not as described regarding fiber content and color. I attached the pic of the label to show the one I received is 80/20 blend of wool and cotton not 100 % wool. The color is yellow but the contrast color is not ivory, it is a mocha tan with lighter colored flecks/dots. I have purchased 100% wool rugs from Safavieh and that was what made me buy this one....not at all the right rug so may be a mix up. The five star review stands because the rug is exceptional quality so the issue is with the seller sending me the wrong rug......

so pleased with my new rug for the living room! the art deco design and warm colors are beautiful - not too overwhelming - a soft, pretty yellow gold with ivory beige swirls. very soft and a nice thickness! couldn't be happier!

Just as pictured, beautiful addition to our new sunroom. Thick and plush like a well made wool rug should be. Great selection at Soho. Highly recommend. Michael C.

The actual color is very different than the picture - the bright gold is actually a dark mustard brownish color. There is no lighting that would make the rug I received look like that photo.

The rug I received was gold and tan. It is not gold and ivory as indicated in description.The ivory part looks more like a dark tan color. Definitely not ivory. Don't know if they are all this way
