Well made and does the job
Wifey had me setting out one of her little bitty yard sprinklers this morning to water some plants and some shrubs. While in the yard I decided to set out the impact sprinkler in another area of the yard.I set it up with very little effort and turned it on. With barely a drop of water hitting me, I was able to control its pattern of water while it was on. Wifey saw it a bit later and agreed that it was doing a goodjob and maybe we needed another one! By the way, I call it the "football field sprinkler" as that is the kind of sprinkler I have seen used on high school football fields.

Easy to use
Adjustable to most situations. Height of stream and over all area are both taken into consideration in it's design. Would recommend buying to friends or family.

Very well made and easy to move around the yard
My previous sprinkler was similar to this sprinkler head, although the bottom was a spike that had to be pushed into the ground (rather than the tripod). This meant I had to shut of the sprinkler each time that I wanted to relocated it. Then I had to push it into the ground at the new position, and turn it back on.The 'Lawn Impact Sprinkler on Tripod Base' is much easier to use and relocate. I can easily pickup the tripod (from the back side) and move it to a new position. Most times, I can simply leave the sprinkler running and move it, since I don't need to push it into the ground. The tripod is very sturdy. If the sprinkler is being placed onto a slight hill or uneven ground, it is easy to re-adjust the height of the tripod legs, so that the sprinkler head is position in a generally level position. I highly recommend this product, because it is well built and much easier to use than my previous sprinkler head.

Tripod good, impact head not so much.
I like the tripod, it is durable and works well. The only problem is the impact head. It never worked very well and got much worse as it got older. It is adjustable but does not always stay as I adjust it. I finally got tired of messing with it and bought a rainbird brass head.

Makes this dry New England summer tolerable for my garden
This product has helped me make it through this dry summer. I have a garden that’s about 150 feet wide. Watering by hand with the shower nozzle would take me about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. My garden is on a slope so I have to be careful to not over wet some thing and have my mulch and compost roll down the hill. These tripod sprinklers are the solution!I can raise or lower them to adjust to the height of my garden slope. The spray is adjustable in distance. One can choose either a longer distance or the water spray or a more widespread diffuse spray. Now I just set the tripod up with the hose and turn it on for 40 minutes.Since my garden is longer I have to do it in three separate sections, but it sure beats standing there for hours a week.I think this was a very good value for the money. The construction seems sturdyAnd it’s easy to adjust the height of the legs. Also it folds up to be self-contained for storage.I recommend!

These sprinklers are very sturdy, and seem to be built for many years of use.
These are the best sprinklers I have ever owned, outside of a home we had with a built in sprinkler system. The tripod mounts are very well made, and very solid. As for other reviewers stating that they don't get nearly the coverage area as advertised, there are a couple of things that are adjustable that vary the pattern significantly. In my experience, they easily cover the area in the description, but I had to make a couple of adjustments, which required no tools, to maximize the radius. The only tool required, is a wrench to attach the head to the base, and you are ready to throw some water. I highly recommend this seller and this product. I own a home with a four acre lot, so if these were underperformers, I sure would let you know. This experience has been great.

Defective sprinkler head
The base of the sprinkler is excellent. That part works without a flaw; however, out of the box on the first try the sprinkler head will not work in both directions. Many others had a similar experience. I purchased another sprinkler head from a different company. Attached it to the base and it works like a charm. I cannot recommend this item to other customers based on the flawed sprinkler head.
