Castle Forbes in number one
Best lime cream there is. A little pricey, but worth it.

Unbelievable cream
Splurged on this after all the reviews. First I noticed was scent. Great. Lathered up like no other. Thick and fine suds. Shaving was so better. Places that had a slight pulling, like around chin and nose were gone. It does dry out a bit fast so just applied foam again and fine. Real surprise was washing face afterwards. Almost like an a smooth film on skin. I'm sold. Don't care if it's a bit pricey. It's worth every extra cost.

The Best Shaving Cream with an Amazing Lime Scent
Castle Forbes Lime Shaving Cream is hands down one of the best shaving products I’ve ever used. From the moment you open the jar, the vibrant lime scent hits you—fresh, natural, and not overpowering. It makes the entire shaving experience feel luxurious and invigorating. The cream itself is rich and concentrated, so a little goes a long way. With just a small amount, it lathers up beautifully, creating a thick and creamy cushion that helps my razor glide effortlessly. No irritation, no nicks—just a smooth, close shave every time. It’s also very moisturizing, so my skin feels soft and refreshed afterward, with none of that post-shave dryness. The quality is obvious, from the texture to the performance, and the jar is generously sized, making it worth every penny. If you’re looking to elevate your shaving routine with a cream that smells fantastic and works flawlessly, Castle Forbes Lime Shaving Cream is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Best you can buy
Have tried too many brands to count… aside from the old Spencer & David shave cream, this is the best I’ve tried… the only area this falls short is skin moisturizing, with the edge going to Supply. It lathers incredibly well, with no need for a shave brush, and just a bit goes a long way…

CF Lime
The scent is absolutely sublime. After I got one whiff of this stuff, I was sold. Much less synthetic smelling than other lime shaving creams. There's a good quantity of cream and it's pretty dense, so a little bit goes a long way. Yes, this is expensive and overpriced, but I bet in the long run, on a per shave basis, it comes out OK. Anyway, I'm willing to splurge a little on a cream that's so aesthetically pleasing. The only thing I'm not 100 % sold on is, it doesn't seem quite as slick as my TOBS creams, and creating a slick surface is a large part of the purpose of a shaving cream. I'm not saying it "fails" on the slickness front, it just isn't quite as slick as some others. Overall, therefore, it's a cream I like a lot which may not necessarily be technically better than a number of less expensive creams.

Expensive but worth it
$35 for shaving cream seems a little crazy, I know. But Castle Forbes is worth it. Best lather I've ever gotten, and I've tried a lot. Every now and then I try something new, hoping to find a cream as good as this one, but so far I haven't. Truefitt & Hill is comparably priced, maybe even a little more expensive, but this'll last you a lot longer and the lather is better. I was almost insulted the first time I opened a tub of T&H and saw how little there was. Castle Forbes will still give you a bit of sticker shock, but that $35 tub lasts me 6 months or more of more or less daily shaving. For some reason straight-up lime scented shaving creams aren't common. Several offer ones that are *almost* lime, like Taylor's lemon-lime or St. James' black pepper and lime. Vulfix does make a lime, but it isn't as good a shaving cream and it isn't as nice a scent. This one is great, very strong but doesn't smell like a cleaning product.I've tried the lime and the cedar/sandalwood. Both are great lathers, but I prefer the lime scent by a mile. I haven't tried the lavender.

Smells as good as it shaves
At the time of this review, I've now used the Castle Forbes Lime Oil Shaving Cream 3 times and all I can say is, "WOW!!!"First of all, the scent is outrageously good. I mean I was literally tempted to taste it, as it smelled like keye lime pie, or lime hard candies; and there is no perfume added, just pure lime oil for the smell! The quality of shave with this cream is the best I've ever tried and I've tried a lot! The cushion is fantastic and keeps the face super girded against nicks and cuts. The slickness is unparalleled and I think that this is really where the cream pulls ahead of the pack (as if the scent and cushion aren't enough already!) as it's so slick, the razor glides like skates on ice. I've used it with both my DE and my straight razor, both were amazing shaves; no razor burn, no ingrown hairs, just baby butt smooth skin every time.I really love this cream and am going to get the other two scents. You really cannot go wrong with this cream, IT IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!
