Lets you place your water softener right next to the wall
My new Aquasure water softener has straight inlet outlet pipes sticking straight out the back forcing the softener to sit 6"+ away from the wall. Big waste of space. This turns the inlet outlet straight up so the softener fits against the wall now. Exactly what I needed. I can't say if this fits your softener, but I compared my softener head to the one this says it fits and they looked identicle so I bought it and it works great

Fleck 5600STX fittings.
Very poor design. Flow meter, bypass valve and fittings are way too long - almost 1 foot ! No way to place the tank against a wall with the control head facing outwards. Metal bypass is insanely heavy and limits water flow a lot. No support brackets for this flimsy, leak-prone, heavy set-up either. Not even one star rating.
