Gaffers Tape - 2 inch by 60 Yard Roll - Black - Bulk Cloth Gaffer Tape, Main Stage Gaff Tape

I go through a lot of Gaff tape being in the video production business. This tape does not stick. Do not use it on anything that you want to stay taped down for any length of time... Spend the extra money to get a better tape.

We purchased this to (of course) tape down cables. I came in a week after taping a few down, and the tape had all peeled up from the ground. It was still on the cable, but no longer stuck. Absolute garbage. I thought I was buying ProGaff, which is the ONLY brand worth buying, but in my haste I clicked on this brand. DO NOT recommend. Buy PROGAFF. Will be returning to Amazon.

This item caused severe damage to the flooring surface. Gaff tape is meant to release easily and leave no residue and it did neither. As an auditorium manager for a large venue,, we have used gaff on this surface for previous events numerous without issue. This brand has pulled the flooring surface off in some areas and left residue in others. Even pulling the tape caused skin irritation to techs while using.. We are facing thousands of dollars in repairs due to this use. DO NOT USE THIS

Having been in the entertainment business for decades, I have used many different brands of gaff tape. This brand is among the worst performers. Poor adhesion, thin & weak construction and inferior abrasion resistance. Like all gaff tapes, it leaves no adhesive residue when removed - but that is the only redeeming quality of this product. I would not buy it again.

It's not the worst I've tried, but it is not good tape and not something I would buy again.- It adhesion is mediocre at best, i.e. it sticks very poorly- It doesn't stick to itself at all- The backing seems to be primarily plastic (probably the reason it doesn't stick to itself)If cost is a more important factor to you than performance, it might be fine for you.

Works as expected. But the side of the roll is pretty sticky and will collect a lot of dirt and debris. My previous roll of gaff tape from another company didn’t do that. So with this roll, I keep it in a ziplock bag to avoid picking up and mixing dirt from every venue I visit with the rest of my gear.

One of the beautiful things about gaffers tape is that it doesn’t leave a residue when it’s removed. This tape failed in that regard miserably. Granted, it was warm that day but the backing slid off and left nothing but a glob of adhesive.Now, in cooler conditions this tape may perform flawlessly but in direct sun or under tungstens you may want to reach for another brand.

While this may be an "adequate" solution to very temporary, "light duty" gaff-tape deployments, I won't be buying any more than this test roll. The Pro Tapes "Pro Gaff" brand was, is and, I trust, will be what the name says... and it provides the performance onstage (and elsewhere) that the name implies.
